This is a small roadside restaurant on the edge o Point Reyes Station. It is a combination cafe and butcher shop with local meats that include various cuts of beef and lamb (goat too) and poultry selections of chicken and duck. The burgers we had at lunch were excellent. Can be crowded.

We were able to walk in and get a table for lunch at 1pm on a summer Saturday which was surprising. The brussel sprouts were great, even my teen who had not tried them before was a fan. The fries were a bit overcooked, but they come with two different aioli - chipotle and lemon - yum! The goat burger was outstanding! The BLT was also very yummy. The dishes come with the usual mixed green with light dressing. We sat in view of the meat counter and enjoyed watching the butchers restock and make recommendations to the customers.
We decided to buy some sausages to take with us and they gave us a bag of ice too. Bring a cooler to stock up!

We drove by this place many times before finally giving it a try and boy, were we glad we did! Excellent organic beef and veggies in a very low-key environment. We'll be back!

Once you've had a lamb or goat burger, it will be hard to go back to beef--unless you get one stuffed with Point Reyes blue cheese. The fried brussel sprouts or root vegetables are the perfect compliment to a burger, but a fresh salad of local greens comes with the burger. It can be a challenge to get the meat cooked rare, not raw or well done. But other than that, it is a great place to stop for lunch when you're in town. Don't forget, you're eating in a meat market and can get local eggs and meat to take home when lunch is over. Forgot to mention that they also serve Sean Thackery wines!

Wow...super service. Meat is so fresh you might convert a vegetarian. Highly recommend the Brussels sprouts, goat burger, and cheese steak. Don't be fooled by the building. This food is top notch!
