“Bioluminescence Kayak Tour Was Awesome!”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

This was my first tour with Point Reyes Outdoors, but I wanted to see Tomales Bay light up at night with microscopic dinoflagellates. It was a perfect evening with the bay calm, millions of stars and, when the water was disturbed by your paddle/hand/kayak, it glowed like hundreds of fireflies lighting up or diamonds sparkling in the sunlight - indescribably beautiful! It was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen and I'm so grateful to have been able to experience it. But I am even more grateful to the amazing guides at Point Reyes Outdoors who made the experience safe, fun and memorable with their knowledge of the bay and its inhabitants. Thank you so much for the most amazing adventure!

“Excellent tour and service!”
Reviewed August 8, 2012

We had originally signed up for the night time tour, but when we arrived, the fog was really dense and it was cold and windy, and we were all very tired (and hungry!) We were SO impressed with Point Reyes Outdoors, and so appreciate that they were willing to reschedule our kayak for the next morning because they felt we would see more and have a better time. The mid-morning kayak the next day was perfect weather, and our guide, Shawna, was so great! We kayaked over to the island and saw lots and lots of seals, pelicans and cormorants. Then we continued on and saw some Elk on the hillside, explored tide pools and saw colorful crabs, and had an amazing picnic across the way, with the most incredible blue cheese spread and bread, and strawberries. On the way back, we circled around the island and saw more seals, white pelicans, cormorants, bat rays, and ospreys. We would highly recommend Point Reyes Outdoors, and a special thanks from all of us now that we are back in New Zealand.

“Beautiful views, great hikes, whale watching”
Reviewed May 5, 2012

The drive to get back to Reyes Point was interesting with so much farmland! The trails to hike were endless and the cliffs and ocean views were spectacular! At the lighthouse we saw 9 whales migrating the day we were there.

“Wonderful, deep and profound pacific ocean and farmland landscape”
Reviewed November 26, 2011

Take a trip to the Point Reyes seashore and you will find one of the mos beautiful and inspiring landscapes inthe world, combining extraordinary views of the cliffs over the Pacific Ocean with Nineteen Century traditional ranchs. The road from Olema and Inverness to the Point Reyes area and lighthouse is a joy to drive. Take your bicycle and enjoy a few miles of this amazing scenery.

“Fantastic!!! Best Experience Ever!”
Reviewed July 24, 2011

OMG!!!! My nephew and I went on the Sunset to Starlight tour last night and it was amazing! Our guides Casey and Achilles were great – very patient and thorough – I had never kayaked before. They suited us up in our gear and provided easy to understand instructions and off we went.

We circled Hogg Island and saw cormorants, pelicans and harbor seals. Then traveled over to a cove to see a herd of Tulle elk – they are magnificent. We paddled around the cove checking out the starfish and jelly fish before stopping at a little beach for our hot drinks and snacks from the Bovine Bakery – YUM!

On the paddle back we enjoyed the bioluminescence – the most magical thing you will ever see or experience! It was a foggy night – so we had great viewing for the entire trip home! Fish and seals left slipstreams of light as they swam around us – you have to experience this for yourself.
GO now!!
