Gorgeous, perfect hike. All of the things you hope for.....ups, downs, sun, shade, views, trees, well-maintained trail, not too many people if you time your visit well.

“Some of the best hiking in California”
Reviewed April 19, 2013

We return again and again to Pt Reyes for B&B and hiking weekends. Spring is fantastic with wildflowers and mainly sunny weather. What I love is there is such a great variety and length of trails. A short hike to Chimney Rock is great for wildflowers, a nice picnic can be had at Abbott's Lagoon, the Bear Valley/Arch Rock trail is wide and popular but still gorgeous with a beautiful stream and lots of forget-me-nots along it. You can hike along the Estero trail for wide open views and cows. We hiked Palomarin last weekend (hard to find) and were rewarded with gorgeous cliffside views of the ocean and then a number of small lakes inland. You can make 10-13 mile loops easily here, or hike one of the shorter trails. Bring a picnic. We LOVE Pt Reyes and just celebrated our 40th anniversary here.

“Tons of Trails”
Reviewed March 26, 2013

There a lots of trails to hike. Probably some of the best hiking in the Bay Area. The only down side if you cannot count on the weather.
