What a great, informative and fun experience this was! Well worth the price, be sure to reserve in advance and bring a good camera....you WILL take lots of pictures.

Hearing about the threats to these species, most of which you never hear about being critically endangered, is reason enough to go. The owners really have something special here and it is wonderful that they share this with others, allowing you to get close to all the animals, not just the giraffes!

Go visit the B Bryan Preserve, help support this effort and spread the word!

Had a great time here. It is worth the $ to see these animals. The tour guide was awesome and funny. She jumped into our group's humor quite nicely. I would love to visit again! Yes I did get a giraffe kiss! You should too!

A couple of days ago three of us went to a 1:00 tour - lots of information about 3 endangered species - giraffes, zebras, and kudus and antelope (hoof stock). Cost was $20 per adult and I believe kids are 1/2 price. You must have reservations so don't just show up. The owners of this property are very sincere in their efforts to help the animals survive. It seemed as if they consider their animals part of the family. The most interesting were the adolescent giraffes - 'the boys'. We got to feed them carrots, which kept them right with us till we ran out. Many of the female kudus were pregnant and it should be pretty interesting once the calves are born.

This would be a great educational treat for kids.

PLEASE NOTE: YOu must buy your tickets in ADVANCE. Either reserve on line or call and reserve.

Found t this place from a San Francisco Chronicle Travel section story last week. Also it comes up as an attraction on this site. I saw the excellent ratings and decided to check it out. There was a 9:30 AM tour and a 4:30 PM tour. We chose the early tour. There were 5 of us traveling together, a 13 year old, and two younger children. The fee was $30.00 for adults and $15,00 fir younger children.

The direction on the website or the receipt (if you reserve on line) were spot on. We arrived a little early as reservation said it would start on time. We took some pix in the beautiful garden on the grounds. Another family who had stayed at the preserve the night before joined our tour.

This was a fun close up tour. They have a barn where they keep the giraffes at night. There is a viewing platform on the 2nd floor which allows you to be able to see the gariffes heads up close as you feed them. That was great!

The tour guide/owner was vey dedicated to the animals as it was evident that they were treated well. I love that she named every single animal and referred to them as "the boys" and "the girls".

Very special hidden gem. Definitely worth a look.

What a treasure to find in Point Arena! This private preserve breeds and raises endangered African animals in a natural setting of 110 acres. You go in a small group and stop to see each type of animal up close while they are being fed. Never expected to get so close to these exotic animals. The owner is very knowledgeable and determined to preserve these species for future generations. A very special experience right here on the CA coast!
