“You can get scrambled eggs too!”
Reviewed September 28, 2013

Been going to Dean's for almost 30 years now, and they still have the best breakfast in town! Table service has always been way above average. The 4 egg omelettes in which they specialize are so delicious, and can be ordered any way you want 'em. The menu lists well over 200 omelette combinations, but the possibilities are virtually endless! if you want a smaller (2 eggs) omelette you can get it, just be prepared to pay the 4 egg price (I speak from experience here), as my gf can't handle a huge omelette. Anyway, if you don't (or can't) eat it all, there's always a doggie bag, and you can heat it up and enjoy it later.

Dean's is very good. Be prepared to wait on weekends for a table.

“Oh my - those omelettes!”
Reviewed September 26, 2013

Miles and miles of omelette choices on that menu. Seriously, you just can't go wrong. Huge portions that will carry you through to dinner. This is a very basic diner; if you're looking for fancy coffee and scones this isn't the place. If you enjoy a home style place, then this is it.

“Omlettes galore”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

There are "officially" 275 omlettes on the menu but our server said the combinations one can ask for are "infinite". We stopped in for lunch and found the place all but deserted at 1:30 p.m. I assume it is busier for breakfast as it is an institution in Pleasanton. I ordered a "smokey" wine sausage, bacon, tomato and Swiss omlette but when it came it was gargantuan. The hash browns that accompanied it were freshly made and delicious.Service was friendly and efficient. Coffee was constantly refilled without asking. There is a reason why some restaurants endure year after year and the food and service here are proof enough of that. Can't wait to go back.

“Omlette Heaven”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

Oh boy. If you like omellettes, or even just don't mind them, you're going to love this place. I didn't count but I think the potential combinations offered on the menu neared 100....and of course they'll make whatever you want. Service was warm and homely and the coffee kept flowing. No lattes or mochas here....this is a diner and all the better for sticking with what they do well. Which I probably don't need to repeat.....

“Great choice of omlettes here”
Reviewed August 20, 2013

They have about 50-75 omlette choices for breakfast. WOW

But, I had my mind set on Eggs Benedict. I had the crab benedict with avocado and it was really great. I would have it again, nice sauce and great flavor

But, next time I am going to definately try an omlette. Totally every choice you can think of

They are only open till around 2 or 3, they are not open for dinner.
