Went to this new Downtown Pleasanton restaurant right before Halloween. Good first impression all the way around, but would like to go back and try another dish or two.
Wife had the spinach salad, which she said was one of the best she has had in a long time.
I had one of the seafood pasta plates, Cacciucco, but subbed the couscous with linguine. The sauce had a nice little kick, which I thought went well with the pasta and seafood.

We dined at Chianti’s on a Friday Night when the Good Guys Hot Rod show was nearby at the fairgrounds. For downtown Pleasanton this means all restaurants are packed and at first the service seemed a little slow. Then our waiter explained that they had two of their staff not report to work and he and the host (I believe he was the owner) both apologized that multiple people were going to serve us. We could tell that providing good service was important to them, which did impress us. Even though we did have multiple servers, from the time we placed our order the service was attentive.
Everything was excellent, from the complimentary bread and garlic, to our entrees. Everything tasted very freshly prepared. I ordered the Frutti Di Mare and definitely will order it again. The house white wine made me pause to savor it. My husband had the Salmone- the lemon caper sauce was divine! The tiramisu was a delicate dessert and the perfect touch. The price for the area is extremely reasonable, and although I know the restaurant is relatively new everything including the restrooms were impeccable.
