“Our home away from home”

We have stayed here a number of times and have never been disappointed. We were here for a wedding once but all the other times have just been for pleasure and a quick getaway. The hotel was built with an eye to detail, and for what you get, the cost is quite reasonable. This is a beautiful boutique hotel with a personality you simply cannot find in a chain property. From the gorgeous lobby with its massive spiral stairway to the boardroom to the hallways you feel you are in a world apart. But the heart of a hotel is the rooms, and the rooms here are definitely in the top percentage of great hotel rooms. A standard room is well put together with a huge comfortable bath and a spacious bedroom, with very comfy armchairs and a large work desk with free wifi. The amenities are first class in all respects, and I don’t believe I have ever heard anyone in another room or outside, showing how well the hotel was built. There are a few suites available with much more room and larger baths, and one with a fireplace. Room 201 at the top of the stairway is our favorite.
No matter how nice a hotel is physically, the experience is always enhanced by a good staff, and the Rose has one of the best in the business. The general manager, Phyllis, is very accommodating and helpful, and has obviously instilled this attitude in all of the workers there. And Margie, the lady who runs the wonderful breakfast, is a whirlwind of activity, making sure every guest’s need is met, but still makes time to talk and make the experience feel much more personal than any restaurant could provide. The staff is very knowledgeable about the area and can help make dinner or wine tasting plans if you need it.
We do not need an excuse to come back here, as it is one of our favorites of all the hotels where we have stayed. We will absolutely be returning.

I stayed here for four nights on business. I got a GREAT deal on Hotwire. The location is perfect! There are several restaurants within walking distance (please try the Linguine with Clams & Mussels at Barone's). The major highways are within minutes of the hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast (simple and good) and internet are included. There are cookies, chocolate, twizzlers (yummy) fruit, granola bars, coffee, and tea available 24 hours a day. I fell in love with the bathroom- it was beautiful, spacious and the water pressure was phenomenal! Lots of attention to detail. I love the turndown service which includes gourmet chocolates and bottled water. I would definitely stay here again.

One complaint-- housekeeping didn't come to clean our room until after 2pm one day.

Pricey for the area but worth the money. This is a boutique hotel, rooms are lavish, comfy and cosy. Love the turndown at night. Breakfast buffet is included in room cost and good to boot. Fresh fruit and choc chip cookies available in reception/lounge/bar area at all times during the day. Staff are friendly and informed. Will be back AGAIN!! :)

Room Tip: Have stayed here multiple times and every room has been great. Noise interference from outside is l...

This was our first visit to the Pleasanton area and The Rose Hotel made it an exceptional experience. We were both impressed with the attention to detail in every facet of our stay. The room was clean and elegant, thoughtful touches abounded, and we adored the French Press in our room. The breakfast was a a well balanced meal offering plenty of options for healthy travelers. We loved the Salmon! Additionally, every encounter we had with a staff team member was positive, kind, thoughtful, and genuinely helpful.

My first visit to the Rose Hotel was for a 2-day business meeting, using their Board Room. I was impressed by the comfort of the room for working, then blown away by the sleeping room. They thought of every detail when this boutique hotel was built around 10 years (I think they said?) ago. I understand why it would be a favorite for wedding parties, with the spa tub as well as roomy glass shower. And the decor was luxurious, from the rich, wide moulding to the tile patterns, to the furniture and other furnishings. Service was excellent in every way. And the continental breakfast was extensive, with hard-boiled eggs and a nice selection of cold meats in addition to the usual breads and cereals. I would return to this hotel without the slightest hesitation.

Spectacular. Beautiful rooms, operating room clean, friendly, well appointed. The staff could not have been more welcoming, or more accomodating. It is situated in a beautiful little town. The entire stay was simply fantastic.
The only drawback..no kitchen, no room service. A continetal breakfast is available in the lobby, but there are multiple places to eat in town.

Room Tip: I cannot imagine a bad room.

This is a lovely boutique hotel with the finest touches in the room and throughout the hotel. From the beautiful bathroom, comfortable bed and lovely lighting, you can't go wrong. The convenient downtown Pleasanton location provides many options for entertainment and dining.
