We have been going to Giant Chef Burger for breakfast for at least 10 years. Just had a family birthday breakfast there yesterday morning. When you see the place, you might decide it is just another greasy hamburger joint, tucked into a strip mall, but give it a try and you'll be surprised at the top quality food, the Norman Rockwell ambiance, and the super efficient and cheerful waitresses who hustle about and provide excellent service. Cute booths with framed Rockwell prints, fifties style, also an outdoor dining area and an extended covered patio area attached to the restaurant. Fluffy cheese omelet has white and yellow melted cheese spilling out, a big side of crispy hash browns not a bit greasy, and your choice of several types of toast or a yummy homemade tasting biscuit. My son chose the breakfast burrito, huge, stuffed with tomatoes, chilies, avocado, sausage, cheese, and scrambled eggs. Lots of different omelets, fantastic French toast, pancakes, even oatmeal and coffee cake. No reservations taken and no checks or credit cards so be aware of that when you give it a try. Very busy place, sometimes people waiting for a table, but your wait will not be long because all the waitresses totally hustle to take your order and bring your food and check. One waitress, Priscilla, is just like the mom you've always wanted, straight talking character who might just give you a great big hug and acts happy to see you. Prices are very reasonable and you can see your breakfast being cooked on huge griddles, nothing to hide here! Open at 6:30 AM most days.
