This place is a quaint little gem right in the heart of Pleasant Hill. It is by far the best of the restaurants on Cresent Drive - we never go anywhere else. You will be tempted to go right for their desserts...the meringues are my favorite as well as the tarts. But hold off and try the items on their interesting menu. Start with their delicious sides - tart hummus, cucumber tomato salad with mint, and garlicky baba ghanoush. Add to that one of their unique entrees - tender lamb shank or Cornish hens - and their interesting Persian and Middle Eastern specialties (we like the combo with the fava beans). Then finish up with one of their amazing cakes or .
Prices are very reasonable. Wine selection is okay, but limited. A eat place to sit with a mid-afternoon cappuccino. Would also make a good spot for a first date.
