Mings is without a doubt the best Chinese food anywhere. I have been in for lunch solo, with friends and business lunches and have never been disappointed in the food or service. The food is excellent each and every time. Whenever I am asked about Chinese food I tell them about Mings in Pleasant Hill. If there is any problems with Mings, it is that they should think about expanding their size to keep up with the demand of their customers. Their take out business is huge and at times gets lined up out the door. Maybe taking over the little catering shop next door would work which would give them more needed space. If you are looking for the best Chinese food anywhere, eating in or take out, Mings is the place like no other.

I love this food and the quality of the food, ive
never been disappointed in it but what i am
disappointed in is the service i received there
today. My boyfriend and I were celebrating an
important marking in our relationship and we
often go to Mings to celebrate important
events and usually were satisfied with the food
especially although that we expect that the
service would be so- so, this time is was
terrible. Not only was the service terrible but
we also found a hair in our sweet and sour
chicken. we proceeded to alert someone about
the hair and they were trying to tell us that it
wasn't one. im pretty sure i know what a hair
looks like, its not that hard to see. once we
went through the process of figuring it out, the
waiter took the plate back and got us a new
plate of food. The reason i had a problem was
that they were being rude about it, not making
eye contact, not speaking to us, and not even
asking us questions about what we'd like in
our luncheon special. ive never ordered the
luncheon special so im not sure what all my
options were, an usually the waiter will ask me
if id like this or that but instead we get silence.
note that the silence came before and after we
found the hair. it was like they were irritated
with our presence and i know that when i go
into a restaurant, i don't want to feel like Im
stepping on eggshells, i want to be
comfortable. So after all that, we waited for
quite a while to get our check, we would glance
over to make the eye contact that shows that
we need something but they all stood in the
back and literally glared at us. it was odd that
the other customers weren't getting the same
treatment as us so we figured that this was
directly toward us. after receiving the check,
we went to the front to pay the bill and the
manager was assisting us. we told him our
issues and he said that hes sorry, and he
thinks that the rude service was because
lunchtime was busy and everyone is stressed.
im sorry but i have worked in a restaurant and
im pretty sure that regardless of how you feel
A. you at least pretend you're in a good mood
to be presentable to the customers, B. the
customer is always right, so dont argue with
them ever, you get your manager to deal with
the issue, and C. the manager shouldn't make
excuses for rude behavior to a customer from
their employees. He then proceeded to push us
out by pulling the "im busy, so sorry i cant deal
with you" act and we walked out in a very bad
mood, also without a reciept!! i didnt even want
to ask because it seemed like we were just pests.
if you want quality service and delicious
food, go to SICHUAN HOUSE on treat blvd or
ASIA EXPRESS on monument. these are some
restaurants that hit the ball out of the park and
deserve 4-5 stars. Its sad that we need to
change our resturant pick for events, we
thought this one was great at first but i dont
think ive ever had worse service from
employees AND a manager in my life. best to
think twice about going here.

This is our favorite #1 pick whenever we are in the mood for Chinese food! We usually have it delivered and they are FAST (usually less than 25 minutes). When we have dined there, the service is friendly, fast and the food is served hot and fresh!

Our favorites are: Honey Walnut Prawns, Chicken or Pork w/deluxe fresh veggies, Sweet & Sour Pork or Chicken, Salt and Pepper Spare Ribs, Hot Spicy Eggplant and Singapore Rice Noodle in Curry Sauce. Their fried rice is also very tasty and I really enjoy their hot & sour soup on a cold evening.

Ming's is, in my opinion, the best Chinese food restaurant in PH.

I've been telling my daughter about Ming's for quite awhile and today we went for lunch. The have a lunch and dinner special menu that is very reasonably priced and a huge amount of food was served. I had the honey walnut prawns and she had the lemon chicken. All of this comes with rice or chow mein and spring roll or wonton. It was excellent and she said she will definitely order there food in the future or eat in at the restaurant. I think the lunch specials are $5.95.

I have worked in Martinez for over 14 years and only discovered this restaurant in the past 2 years. Now, I am a "regular" lunch patron of this establishment. The service is fast, the food is hot and tasty. Not salty. This is the best Chinese food in the Martinez/Pleasant Hill area. Try the mixed vegatables with tofu or the eggplant with chicken (an add on) on their lunch menu and I am sure you will go back for more!
