We so enjoyed our night here, we had been riding a motorcycle for approx 10 hours when we found this hotel, thanks to a local! Our room was spotless clean, friendly staff even called us when we got in our room to make sure all was well. There is a family run Mexican restaurant right next door that was wonderful and very friendly also, we had a great meal and a fantastic margarita! Will stay again if we get the chance.

Room Tip: This is a little hard to find, but with the help of a local we found it with no problem.

My daughter, granddaughter, and I stayed for three nights. The first day we noticed that, when my two year old granddaughter played on the floor, she would stand up with hair and dirt all over her. We also noticed that there was dust, dirt, and long hair on the tile floor in the entranceway of the room. There was also a huge stain on the carpet in front of the TV, but we blew that off....seems like no hotel/motel these days clean the stains anymore. I also found ants in my bed!?! Daughter called the desk and requested that they vacuum the room. We went off to play and came back at 9 p.m....nothing done. Next day before we left in the morning we put the maid service request in the door. Came back at 1 pm....trash not emptied, room not vacuumed, but the beds were made and there was new towels. Daughter again called and requested room vacuumed and trash emptied. Nothing done. Third day I again put out the maid service request in the a.m. before we left. Came back at 1 p.m. (we had to do this every day so the toddler could nap) and nothing at all was done (trash was up to counter level in all cans) and of course floor was disgusting. I then personally went to the desk and asked why nothing had been done since our first request. The clerk told me that he had the requests on the clipboard for all three days but claimed that the maid couldn't do anything because we were in the room and there was no time to clean. We were always gone at 8 a.m. and back by 1 p.m. I mentioned that we had a toddler that needed an afternoon nap and that they had at least four hours to clean. No excuse from the clerk...no solution....no nothing. We left after our third night and will NEVER go back to this place. Daughter emailed a complaint to the manager and was offered a small discount "when" we come back for our next visit. Yeah, right. No refunds, no real offer of compensation for living in filth for three days. If we had to stay any longer, I was going to request (or swipe) a vacuum cleaner and clean the room myself. Needless to say, we will never go back to this place. Three days and no vacuuming and emptying the trash? Come on.....

We (family of two adults, a 14 yr old and an 11 yr old) stayed for one night en route to San Francisco. We found the hotel very clean and comfortable with friendly helpful staff. Our room was pleasant and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was functional rather than luxurious but good range of toiletries supplied. Wifi and parking were free.

The breakfast was plentiful though not high quality; cereals, toast, eggs, bagels, juices, pastries, muffins and make-your-own waffles. The Danish and muffins came pre-packaged and the breadwas cheap sliced kind.

All in all, a good quality and comfortable night's stay.

We enjoyed every bit of our stay at this hotel. The room was clean, large and smoke free!! There was tons of room for all our bags and kids stuff!! Our room had a nice view of the pool and mountains. Our kids enjoyed the pool 6ft deep. Breakfast was included the next day and was very enjoyable make yourself waffles (kids loved that), hot coffee, juices, muffins, bagels, danishes, rolls, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt... we couldn't believe the selection. The ONLY down fall was the bad smell of smoke in the hallways and it was hot and stuffy walking to our room!!

Room Tip: we asked for 2 double beds and still had enough room of the kids to play on the ground.& suit ca...

On a recent stay at this hotel I left a $100. pillow, when I realized what I did I called immediately to tell them I was on my way back to get it. The staff went to go find it and said it was not in the room and could not find it (this was 2 hours after I left) to wait until morning for the morning staff to arrive. I called several times and they were not able to locate it. Also my calls were never returned. Irresponsible! Don't try to cancel a reservation here even 12 hours ahead they will charge a full night!

We stayed at the Best Western Placerville recently, and while there is nothing glaringly bad about the inn, it is beginning to show signs of wear. We opted for the king suite for the extra room and were pleased with the size of the room. The room was spacious, had a small refrigerator and microwave. It also had the flat screen TV and wi-fi internet. The king bed was comfortable, but the linens, though clean (at least we hope) are getting worn. Although the room was fairly clean, the bathrooms could use a good cleaning along with a good scrubbing of the tile floors. The included breakfast is nothing special and not up to par with most that are offered these days. It has the ubiquitous waffles, but the bagels and sweet rolls are packaged. There are hard-cooked eggs and cereals, as well as coffee and juices.
