“A bit unorganized”
Reviewed November 24, 2013

A 1800's Victorian Home turned into a restaurant- walking into the small, crowded entrance is a mess- people are paying, ordering and getting seated all in one heap-

Many people came in and left because breakfast was over at 1:00 p.m. this needs to be addressed since the sign says 'Breakfast and Lunch'

The food was good for the price and once seated, we had good service.

“You gotta try this fun place!”
Reviewed November 2, 2013 via mobile

We spent the night in Placerville on our way to Reno. The next morning we had brunch out on the patio at Sweetie Pies. We both had a great breakfast for $10, and we had plenty to eat. The Health Nut pancakes are delicious, as are the baked goods. Breakfast is served till 1:00PM, plus they have a complete lunch menu. The Olallieberry jam, pies and muffins are legendary! The staff was friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back!

“Did you forget about us?”
Reviewed October 14, 2013 via mobile

Been here twice. Once was in September of 2012 and I loved everything about this place. Good food, warm cozy atmosphere and nice friendly staff. But our visit this time was just awful. We arrived after the lunch hour when things were quieting down. We were seated in the rear room by ourselves. This room was OK but I believe our server forgot we were there. It was a long long wait until we saw ;anyone and then it was a bus boy that finally showed up. Once he flagged down a server we asked to be moved out of the lonely back room to the front porch. There we enjoyed the ambience of the place. Food has always been good. Service could have been much better.

“Nice place to stop over on the way to Tahoe or back from Tahoe.”
Reviewed October 9, 2013

Driving home from a golf weekend in Tahoe, wanted to stop somewhere to grab a bite to eat. Friend found this place via a search on Yelp.

Had the Bacon/Spinach Omlete with hashbrowns, friends had the french toast. My omlete was good. Pretty standard. However, as other reviewers have stated, the French Toast is wonderful. It's not on your standard/typical piece of sliced bread. It's like its' made on a roll. Very dense and heavy. Portions of the food are just right. Wouldn't say it's huge like some other cafes.

Service is a plus. Staff very friendly. Word of advice, it does get pretty crowded so expect a little wait. Nice thing is, they offer free coffee while you wait.
