“Best Fish 'N Chips between Tahoe and S.F.”
Reviewed August 7, 2014

Fish and Chips in Placerville? YES! E-Z on and off the 50 at Broadway, look for the Mickey D's, Starbucks and Rite-Aid Pharmacy, and tucked next to the Baskin-Robbins is London's Best Fish and Chips. A mom and pop fish place with the best fish and chips I've found between Tahoe and S.F.! Great clam chowder, deep fried zucchini, and ample portions make this a must stop when we're on our way to and from. Daily specials might include fish, shrimp, and hush puppies all deep fried to golden deliciousness! Cheerful greetings from Mom, plenty of condiments brought to the table, and an open soda & tea fountain round out the experience. The fish and fries are never greasy, and cooked after you order, so they are hot and fresh. The menu is large and varied, but I always opt for the fish, its that good consistently. You can't go wrong at London's best. Clean, fast and friendly, and don't forget to leave your regards on a napkin, Mom will hang it on the wall with hundreds of others leaving their kudos as well!
