“Fun take on American comfort food”
Reviewed August 18, 2013 via mobile

Havebeen wanting to try this new local restaurant. Went last night for dinner with my daughter. Menu is not huge but has many yummy and fun sounding choices. I had an amazing beef Wellington the was perfectly prepared and soooo tender. I had the mashed potatoes as the side which were good but not amazing. My daughter had the burger which was very good and the onion rings were great! She also ordered the garlic goat cheese and bacon fries. Way too much food, but the fries were "to die for". They also brought a nac and cheese and creamed corn profiterole and a small scone as apetitizers for free which were awesome. For dessert, we hadthe lemon chess pie. The custard was delicious but the crust was somewhat tough. Bill was $81 which is steep for two but will go again as the food was quite good. Atmosphere is cute retro kitchy.

“Foodies' Restaurant in Placentia!”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

Love this place. But don't come here if Denny's is your idea of the perfect meal. Everything is home made with quality ingredients, and a little twist. Homestyle gourmet cooking. Retro atmosphere with a nice outdoor patio, too. Not to miss: Society Scramble - scrambled eggs with lobster, sun-dried tomatoes, Chicken Mirabella sandwich - fabulous chicken salad on a special rosemary bread, Suburban Rice - a casserole featuring amazing creamed corn with Velveeta and Spam (yes, you read that right!). Menus are time-sensitive - not everything is available all the time - and they do run out of the fresh-baked desserts-of-the-day.
It's a little spendy, so it's my local special-occasion restaurant.

“One of the best restaurant both food and atmosphere I've attended.”
Reviewed August 7, 2013 via mobile

My daughter-in-law knew I would love this place. The atmosphere was full of various salt and pepper shakers on each table, awesome lime green chairs, wall art, B&W TV's and many other items from the 70's. There was so much food that I had to ask for a to go box and my teen age grandson had left overs. Save room for desert (carrot cake to share)
