The view here is always great. The beach access is good.
The problems I had are: 1) The long line to check in or get any front desk help, 2) The front desk telling us numerous times during our trip they were out of towels and to come back in 10 minutes when really towells were never ready in that time. 3) The coffee that is usually served in the lobby was almost always empty and would take a long time to be filled even when the front desk knew somebody was waiting for it. Our trip was not a "Resort" vacation.

It sounds like this is not your first stay at the SeaCrest Resort and we certainly hope it won’t be your last! This is not an excuse, merely an explanation, but yes, we were especially busy during the dates of your stay and completely booked. Guest check-ins seemed to arrive in waves that day, everyone seeking coffee refreshment and then, Murphy’s Law struck---our main laundry dryer broke down! And being the weekend, it could not be repaired until the Monday. Please stay with us again soon. We assure you a return to a stress-free visit.

We booked the top corner jacuzzi room- it was wonderful!! Great views, huge room, wonderful window seat with views both directions and the sound of waves all night. Only problems were shades on the windows that were broken (when booking the "view room" you want to be able to see the view-we found a way to tie them open!) and no in-room hotel info. It would have also been nice to have an extra blanket or throw since Pismo can be foggy. But this is all minor stuff. The staff was pleasant, nice self-serve breakfast, and very clean and elegant room and facilities. Will go back again and would recommend it to anyone.

We stayed 1 night at the SeaCrest Resort after a broken bed and no working telephone in our room, went to front desk to ask for a discount was not willing to help told them that my diabetic grandmother could not call me all day as not working phone, she was blind and could not walk to front desk while I was out on business. We were going to stay 2 more night but check out early and went to the Spyglass Inn down the street. Great hotel and everything worked in that hotel..

We at the SeaCrest Beach Resort are of course distressed to read of your recent experience at our hotel, but frankly we are at a bit of a loss regarding the details. The bed in your room was part of our new custom furnishings and certainly should not have broken down, but we did repair it immediately upon your notification. We have no record of any report of a non-working telephone that day, nor any other issue with your room. We take great care to provide each and every guest with a completely satisfactory stay. Anything less is unacceptable to us. Please give us a return visit soon. Make your reservation directly with me directly, and I will personally handle your accommodations.

SeaCrest Resort is a relatively nice hotel with a private access to the beach. However, there were too many glitches during our stay, and the staff and the management team were totally unhelpful and indifferent to fixing or resolving the issues.

As a couple traveling with a toddler who goes to bed relatively early, we needed a quieter room, and I had specifically requested for one away from the elevator upon reservation. However, on the contrary to our request, we got one of the rooms closest to the elevator and therefore had no choice but to deal with the noise of the ongoing traffic throughout the night.

Furthermore, throughout our stay, we were locked out of our room every time we left the room and had to go to the front desk to get another key. The only explanation given by the staff without so much as an apology was that the magnetic strip of the keys was desensitized, which we felt was an insufficient explanation.

It was hardly an ideal way spend our vacation, and a great disappointment.

After it's recent renovation, it's clear that the Seacrest Resort aims at being the number one hotel in the Pismo Beach area - and it looks like it has earned that reputation. The hotel was impeccable, the room's decor was simply fantastic - modern and chic. All of the amenities were great, including the pool, three hot-tubs, private beach-access, and rooftop terrace overlooking the ocean. The staff only made the visit better as they were outgoing, friendly, and diligent.

We enjoyed our stay. We got a deal prepaying for our room. It was pretty much quiet except for a family with loud kids walking by our room. We didn't mind. My children enjoyed walking around looking at the beach and a beautiful sunset. The resort's beach access was a plus. Breakast included cereal, pastries, bagels, muffins, fruit, and hard boiled eggs. Of course there was coffee, milk, and juice. And there's always hot coffee or Tazo tea in the lobby.
