We have stayed in this area before and I have no idea why we never considered this hotel before. I was very clean and nice. The rooms seem to have been recently remodeled. The beds were extremely comfortable and they had very nice linens on them as well. The staff was very polite and nice. We were impressed with the drink reception they had every night that got my husband and I 2 drinks each night we stayed and the morning breakfast was great. It wasn't just cold cereal and coffee either. They had eggs and hash browns and several other hot options. We will definitely stay here again!

This place has it all, from Vanessa at the front desk to the free breakfast. Not just sweets and coffee but eggs, pancakes the whole thing. Not too close to the beach but about a 2 minute drive. Very nice rooms with a fold out couch and separate bedroom with a door between the two. TV's in both rooms, great pool good meeting area and afternoon bar and lounge. can't say enough .......... enjoy

We were in the area unfortunately for a funeral & needed overnight accommodations. We didn’t want to pay big bucks for this quick trip, just wanted a clean, quiet suite w/a separate area to relax in. After checking out review sites online, we chose Oxford Suites. I requested a quiet room away from dogs (it is dog friendly) & the 2nd floor room we were given was perfect. The property is older but well maintained. I’ve stayed at more expensive, fancier suites and by comparison, our room was cleaner & quieter than the others and reasonably priced. The bedroom area had a pocket door providing quiet privacy from the ample “living room” area. Not fancy but again, very clean. The bathroom was very clean. (!) There’s a large L-shaped sleeper couch & extra pillows & a blanket in the closet. Perfect for the late night TV watching hubby without disturbing my sleep time. The bed was comfortable, again better than some of the more expensive hotels we’ve stayed at. We made use of the nice refrigerator for dinner left overs, there’s a small kitchen sink which made cleaning water bottles, utensils easy. There were no issues with old smoke in the room, no noise & plenty of hot water. We didn’t use our evening coupons for the drinks so I can’t comment on that. We did appreciate the breakfast buffet, again very clean & the staff very friendly. I liked that they served you, rather then self service. There were scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, breakfast burritos & the necessary condiments to go with. Juice, coffee, tea, cereal, hot oatmeal, fruit, etc. Not gourmet mind you, but filling, ample portions, a stick to your ribs American breakfast. We did make the buffet early on & noticed as we were leaving, the crowds were lining up. Again, for the price, our overall experience was better than many of the more expensive places we’ve stayed at & we would definitely stay there again. Oh & on your way to check in/out, there's a bowl of apples & according the nice folks at the front desk, you have 2 choices: complimentary or free. :-)
Note: It is away from the beach area but a very short drive to the shoreline. We stayed on a Thursday night earlier this month & was told that the property was quiet at that time but it wouldn’t be over the weekend (conventions). Be prepared to use stairs if you stay on the second floor, there is no elevator & be prepared for inclement weather as the walkways are outside (we experienced sun, rain, & hail in less than 24 hours.) There’s plenty of space for Fido to check out. There are no utensils in the room, so be prepared accordingly. If you need a deli, a really excellent deli...go to De Palo & Sons Provisions Spirits & Fine Wines. Outstanding deli!

Room Tip: For quiet: 2nd floor, away from the front street.

We've stayed here twice now because both times we were traveling with our dogs and they allow pets. If you're traveling with pets this place is AWESOME! If you're not I would consider it average. They have several large grass areas for dogs to peruse and even a small gated area where you can let them play "off leash".

The other great things about the place are a friendly staff and the Happy Hour. You get two free drinks a piece and a few snacks. The bartender is a sweetheart.

The rooms are up to date and feature a small living room with it's own TV as well as the Tv in the bedroom.

Downside would be both times we have stayed here our rooms smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke (they said they didn't have any non-smoking available) but this was bad! In this day and age in California I'm kind of surprised your allowed to smoke in hotel rooms anyway. it's just disgusting for those of us that don't smoke.

The other downfall is that the hot water did fluctuate based on usage througout the other rooms which seems a bit antiquated.

Overall good place though.

Thanks for your feedback. We apologize that we did not have any of our non-smoking rooms available for your use. Currently, less than 10% of our rooms are designated smoking rooms so you must have visited when we were nearing capacity. In the future, you may want to consider calling a day or two before you check in to verify that you will be assigned a non-smoking room. We do our best to accommodate room requests but they can not be guaranteed. Thanks again for commenting and we look forward to serving your lodging needs on your next visit to Pismo Beach!

These guys market themselves as providing a family resort experience on a budget and they certainly succeed in providing this. We arrived to two free drinks for the adults and cheese and complimentary cracker type snacks in the canteen area; which were refreshing after a long road trip. The resort is nicely laid out in a triangular manner with no long walks to the pool, breakfast or canteen. The centrally located pool and jacuzzi were perfectly heated for the night temperatures. We had a lovely family swim under the stars. We ordered a meal to our room and it was fine. (fish and chips type fare) The suite we booked had a fridge and microwave and a separate living area (sofas and table) from the bedroom (king bed). Large counterspace in each room. TV in each room. Furniture was basic but clean, in good condition and sturdy. Good sleep quality with comfy bed, linens. Toiletries and bathroom were basic and adequate. The included breakfast was a bit chaotic; very hard to get a table at the time we arrived. It was not a true buffet - the hot food was portioned out in a line up by servers - reasonable amounts but no 'all you can eat' for big appetities. Toast, cereal etc was self serve. The food was okay quality, plenty of selection for families and the area was clean and open to the terrace near the pool. Staff was polite; generally it was exactly as represented a budget conscious resort with good amenties for the price. Clean, pleasant and child friendly. A great spot as a base for a family vacation in the Pismo beach area. We paid a very reasonable price through expedia and considerd it to be a good value.

Room Tip: All the room locations seemed to be good - good layout for a resort.
