2-27-14 we stopped and parked by the railroad tracks, hoping to get a glimpse of the leftover butterflies. We walked the path and seen quite a few. Beautiful walk through the grove.

On a beautiful Sunny Day, Butterflies were out! Easy Access and a nice grove and place to visit. Admission was FREE. We truly enjoyed the hundreds of butterflies!

In January and February you can experience one of natures wonders. The butterflies migrate as much as 2,500 miles to their winter habitats. While the decline in numbers has been huge in the last few years, experiencing the beauty of these delicate creatures is inspiring.

Earlier in the morning probably wasn't the best time to go to this area. Although the only sightings of monarch butterflies we saw were through the provided telescopes and a few on the ground, there was no actual opportunity to take any good photos. The women handling the souvenirs were super nice and humorous.
