We really enjoyed this hotel but unfortunately after we checked out we realized we had left our Kindle Fire in our room. The hotel management told us they would check for the device and get back to us but when they contacted us they basically said that if we had left it in our room it would have been recovered. It's good to know that management has so much faith in their staff but we we were disapointed that our Kindle was never turned in...

Thank you for your feedback regarding your stay. We are very sorry to hear that you were not able to locate your Kindle Fire. I assure you that we exhausted all avenues at the property to locate this item. We consider the personal items of any guest as important as their own safety and security. Frequently, guests leave items behind and we consider it a top priority to return the items to the owner. As in our exchange of previous emails, I have committed to remain diligent and notify you should the item be found .

The room was big, roomy and the view was spectacular. I recommend this place to everyone. Great location for the ideal vacation for families or couples. Beach access is not direct from the hotel but is very close.

Check-In was flawless and took about 90 seconds. The staff was genuinely friendly, even the maintenance guys.

The room was AMAZING. Super clean and HUGE. We reserved a family suite for our family of 6: one room with 2 queen beds/bathroom and 1 room with a king bed/bathroom. We spent under $200 for this type of room AND it had a view of the ocean.

The grounds had TONS for the kids AND adults to do: ping pong, mini golf, a HUGE chess/checker board, badminton, a pool and hot tub overlooking the ocean.

We only stayed one night, but our kids are begging to return, so we are going to make it happen.

The breakfast at the Galley downstairs was your typical continental breakfast with solid carbs and too many people for us, so we drove around the corner and had THE WORLD'S BEST CINNAMON ROLLS from the OLD WEST CINNAMON ROLLS and then went elsewhere for protein.

It sounds like you had a wonderful time at the property. It was fun to check out the photos that you posted--thanks for sharing! As much as I love our breakfast I have to admit that those Old West Cinnamon Rolls are amazing. I'm glad that your family had a chance to enjoy all the amenities despite the fact that you stayed only one night. We look forward to welcoming for a longer visit next time.

We stayed here the night after a VERY disappointing stay at a Santa Barbara "inn" that cost $100 more and was not even 1/2 as good. Thus, I may be gushing with praise because I went in expecting the worse. For less than $200, we got a HUGE 2 bedroom suite, one with a king bed and one with 2 queens, 2 full bathrooms, and a balcony.

My kids loved the play area (life-size chessboard and mini-golf!) and spent hours on the beach, which was a 5 minute walk away down a steep staircase (so I got a good workout carrying my 3 year old up and down!).

The room was exceptionally clean--I commented at check-out how fantastic Housekeeping was. We booked our next stay before we even left Pismo Beach. Can't wait to go back!

Thanks you for the great review. We work hard to stand above the rest so thank you for noticing. It is exciting to see that you have already reserved a return visit. The gamedeck will be waiting for you and your family!

The staff at this hotel are amazing. They were on top of everyhting and were helpful at every turn. Having a good selection at breakfast made our stay even more enjoyable. My family enjoyed the badmiton court and pool, even though we stayed here in the winter. It is also a dog friendly hotel. The one caution I would offer is that there are some pretty steep stairs down to the beach. We had no problem navigating them, but if you are older or have difficulty with stairs, this would limit your beach access. The views from the hotel are breathtaking, though!

Room Tip: Higher rooms have better views. Also, try to get a room that overlooks the beach, but not on the first floor as there is a walking path in front of those rooms.

We couldn't be more pleased to hear that the staff was able to make your stay memorable and enjoyable. It sounds like the badminton and pool got a lot of use! Even in the winter we get some fantastic pools days.
