Across the parking lot from Pismo Beach Winery tasting room. BONUS!
Just a couple of minutes by car to downtown.
Room was clean. Bed could have been softer. Noise from parking lot is my main gripe with our stay.

Very convenient location. Got here after a long drive. The property is older but the room was very clean. Although we didn't have the time to enjoy the pool it is very clean and artfully done. The staff was very helpful. The king bed was comfortable, a bit on the firm side but that's how I like my bed, anyway. The hotel is a short drive from many different restaurants and the beach.

The room was tiny with a queen size bed. On entering we found what looked like a dirty tee shirt on the floor. On checking the sheets found them to be stained!! The front desk person did change the sheets and clear the rag but this left a very distasteful feeling.
We also found the walls were paper thin and we could clearly hear people outside our door. Secondly the housekeeping area was next to this room....hence early morning we could hear chatter. There was no privacy!! And we paid a pretty penny for this stay...a total rip off!!

With Annli at the desk, check-in was a breeze as she gave me an awesome rate. My wife & I checked in, only to find the cooling system only worked for five minutes then shut off despite a very warm room. While I was waiting for maintenance to be summoned, the system started working about 15-20 minutes later, so the request was cancelled. We then went downtown to shop for awhile while awaiting the arrival of other family members. Upon our return to the room after dinner, we discovered the toilet backed up, but didn’t overflow (thank goodness) when flushed. By this time, the night clerk was the only employee on duty. He closed the office for a few minutes, retrieved a plunger, and tried to fix the problem with the Home Depot toilet, to no avail. He offered to leave the plunger in case it became necessary later. We had already unpacked prior to discovering the problem so were reluctant to change rooms. More plunging was necessary during the stay.
The room itself was clean, but except for the small, flat screen, off-brand television, the furnishings needed some updating. The refrigerator and the microwave worked well. The bed was rather comfortable. The towels were rather small and had the texture of sandpaper. Also the room wasn’t stocked with enough towels as there were only two of each. The edges of the spa were nasty with a buildup above the waterline. There were weeds growing from the ‘rocks’ in the spa’s waterfall.

If not for the friendliness and willingness to help on the part of the staff, this property would only rate a two in my book but, good help being hard to find and this place having staff willing to go the extra mile, I give it a three.

Room Tip: All rooms have the potential for quietness as long as you don't have noisy neighbors.

This hotel has the potential to be very good. We stayed there for two nights after a long flight and it provided good beds and a large room. The room was clean and has a fridge, microwave, table and chairs as well as a TV and iron. I would class this as well equipt for the price. The room we stayed in had a couple of issues.

1. The TV didn't work which was reported and not fixed
2. The digital clock would only display one time

I think that the location is good, just off the motorway and a shortish walk to the beach, shops and restaurants.

The breakfast was very good with lots of choice but get there early if you want to sit down and eat as the breakfast room isn't the biggest.

This is a 3* hotel but could be made better with just a little more attention to detail e.g. Replacing the broken clock and TV.

I would use this hotel again

The hotel was easy to access from the highway but ...this was the background noise as you tried to sleep .
The beds were spacious and quite comfortable . The towels were like sandpaper very rough and coarse . In the morning we awoke to find a trail of ants walking across the sink top ,when the room cleaner was informed about this he just shrugged and said he would have to spray the room again !
