“Lovely wines, great picnic spot, too”
Reviewed January 27, 2012

I always stop here when driving through the Anderson Valley - their Pinot Noir is nice and they often have some other lovely varietals to taste. The outdoor picnic tables overlook the vineyard and gardens and make a nice spot to take a break from driving. Enjoy!

“Don't Miss This Winery!!!”
Reviewed July 7, 2011

We are long-time fans of Navarro wines. They are delicious, well-made, and great values. We have been members of their amazingly good Pre-Release club (no fee) since 1988. wwww.navarrowines.com

The winery does not charge to taste. They offer non-alcoholic grape juice to taste and for sale made from wine grapes. It is excellent. They also have a small but high-quality picnic assortment for purchase and picnic tables to enjoy it at. The views of the property are really beautiful and typical of Anderson Valley.

Be sure to stop on your way to Mendicino and tell your friends!

“Breathtakingly beautiful! Do not miss this one!”
Reviewed July 18, 2009

We lucked up and arrived 10 minutes before Bill started a tour. The winery is a small business (45,000 cases per year) so you really get to see all of the processing equipment from start to bottles. Bill was very knowledgeable (employed there for decades) and congenial. It was an extremely hot day so he started the tour by handing each of us an ice cold bottle of water. He explained what grapes were planted where and why--we learned so much! The grounds are lovely and include multiple shaded places for a picnic. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the picnic areas and if you need to borrow a cutting board and knife, just ask! Big, clean restrooms are also included in this stop. The complementary wine tastings are generous and served by friendly, knowledgeable staff. White wines seem to be their specialty and the ones we tasted were fabulous. We didn't have a dog with us but noticed the nice pet exercise area provided for those who do. This is definitely a worthwhile stop on Hwy 128, even if it is out of your way a bit!
