First of all, the service was fantastic, and the ambiance was very nice, although a bit loud because of the brick walls and tile floors.
The the food was a mix of tastles and okay. I gave it only two stars because the marinara sauce was terrible, and an Italian restaurant should be able to make a decent Bolognese. The sauce was runny, tastless, and orange instead of dark red. Looked and tasted like Campbell's tomato soup, but worse. They should have used Ragu!
Unfortunately, I had eggplant parmesan. It was two slices of eggplant dipped in flour and soggy fried, then put together with ricotta between layers and totally smothered in the awful marinara sauce. It tasted like it looked - like orange garbage. Oddly, the roasted potatoes and asparagus spears served with it were cooked perfectly. My friends had the salmon and veal, and both items were cooked fine, although a little bland.
The beet salad was very good. The COSTCO lemon sorbet and profiteroles were okay.
So if you eat here, you would probably have a good meal if you avoid the pasta, which is totally ridiculous for an Italian restaurant.

The food was everything I expected with perfect preperation. Service was warm and friendly. The restaurant was founded by a world famous chef who still oversees te quality of the food.

My husband has raved about this restaurant for years, so we finall ate there. The food was lovely, the waiters very attentive, and it felt like we had gone back in time to a more relaxed era. Very enjoyable.

Lively, friendly Italian restaraunt with extensive food and wine menus. Fish dishes, lamb and lasagna are favorites.
Red sauces, marinara and bolognese, are good but a bit pedestrian.
Prices are a little steep, but servings are ample and service is very good.
