“Clean, Modern and comfortable. Great stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2005

Very surprised to find this level of quality at a Sheraton (our last stay at the Philly airport may rank as the worst ever).

Rooms were new, decor was well done and the beds were everything the other reviewers have said - amazingly comfortable. Linens were also much higher end than any non-luxury chain hotel I have stayed in.

We stayed with our daughter, and although we thought it was a 2 queen room, the fact that the bed was so comfy more than made up for the smaller double bed size. Room included a refrigerator, which is very nice when travelling with kids.

Location is great for Sonoma, too far for Napa. Staff was outstanding. I am not sure I have run into a more responsive bunch. Hard to beat this one.

Just returned from the Sheraton Petaluma. Not owned by the Sheraton Corp but under their umbrella. Clean rooms, reasonable rates. Staff very good from front desk to waitstaff. James offered to have our eggs cooked to order when we discovered the breakfast buffet eggs were nearly empty. Laura double-checked our bill and removed an incorrect charge with a smile and a "sorry about that". this is what customer service is all about!

Stayed one night on 22 September 05, two adults and two toddlers.

What a great place. It seemed very clean and new, and the color schemes of the lobby, corridors, and rooms all blended to make for a very soothing environment. The standard room with two double beds was of good size, and the bath was well appointed. We had a marina view, which we found charming. The staff all warmly greeted us. Though we did not order from room service, we noticed many people were using room service. The room service menu had some of the best (most reasonable) prices I've ever seen.

The workout room had a couple of aerobic machines, but also had a full rack of free weights. There was a very nice outdoor hot tub, but we did not get a chance to use it.

Just a terrific facility, and probably the best Sheraton I've ever stayed at. Oh, and the beds are amazingly comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel.

I did a three day business trip to Petaluma and stayed at the Sheraton. The hotel is fairly new and the rooms and public spaces are clean and comfortable. Sheraton is making a big deal about their comfortable beds. I tend to be pretty cynical about advertising hype, but in this case the ad people are right - my bed was extremely comfortable and I slept better than I usually do in a hotel. This is a "traditional" hotel that seems to be more aimed at upscale tourists as opposed to a business class lodging so you won't get a free breakfast or a "social hour" in the evenings, but the atmosphere at the Sheraton is laid back, the surroundings are pleasant and the staff is friendly and efficient. I found the restaurant to be a bit pricey for the traveler on per diem, so I ate most of my meals off site. I did eat one dinner at the Sheraton and the food and service were satisfactory.

This is a very new property and, as a result, very clean. Good location for exploring Sonoma but may be a bit far for Napa. I called the central reservation line for Sheraton and people taking the reservation were extremely rude, so call the hotel directly during business hours. The pool is smaller than expected, and everyone in the restaurant watches you swim. They can see you but you can't see them. Also, if traveling with kids, the two bed rooms have double beds not queen, so it's pretty tight if you have to share the double bed. I don't necessarily recommend it, but the beds are very comfortable and the hotel is very clean. Parking is very convenient. Bottom line, arrive with no kids, get a king bed and skip the pool. Still a great deal for the price.

The room was amazing & the price was right! At $139US per night.
It as 1/2 hour from NAPA and the drive was beautiful. Better than staying in NAPA because it forces you to drive through Sonoma and the hilltops!

It's also located very close to the Petaluma outlet mall (amazing!!! Coach outlet!!).

The bed was the most comfortable of my trip & the best of the 4 hotels I stayed at while in California. Breakfast was fabulous!

Only downside - no real view.
