Discovered Lemongrass Thai several weeks ago, after having bland Thai food at a different place in Petaluma. This was not only a huge improvement, but really amazing in all ways.

Lemongrass Thai is a bit hard to find - it sits tucked in a corner in a large shopping area. If you are on McDowell Blvd facing the shopping center (with Trader Joes straight back), it is on the Left side, just down from Radio Shack. Enter, and you will step into a lovely, quiet, calm oasis. It is decorated beautifully, with enough space between tables. The staff are lovely and attentive.

The best deal is the lunch special. It includes a crispy egg roll, a small cup of soup with a delicious broth and delicately diced veggies, and an entree, all for under $10.00. The first time I went, I had the Pad Ginger, which had sauteed veggies in a garlic ginger sauce and tofu. The veggies were crisp, and the sauce was so flavorful. I paid $1 more for the brown rice which was fluffy and chewy at the same time. Awesome!

The second time I went I had the lunch special with the sauteed veggies/tofu in a garlic pepper sauce. Sublime! The garlic had been toasted, so the sauce was richly flavorful with a kick of pepper. (cannot remember the exact name from the menu - sorry!). Had a glass of the jasmine iced tea, which was wonderful - delicate with a flowery flavor. I liked it so much, that I got the name of the tea they used - Cha Thai.

Lemongrass Thai is now my go-to place for excellent Thai food when I am in Petaluma.

The ambiance and friendly service just delightful. My second visit for a great lunch! Green chicken curry full of vegetables, served with a beautiful heart of rice and accompanied by a crispy vegetable roll - delicious! Less than $10. Dinner just a fraction more but worth it. Beer and wine served.. Wonderful Menu too.

This small restaurant cranks out authentic Thai cuisine. The Tom Yum is soury and savory, the Pad Thai is very good, with a tendency to be a little on the dry side. Staff are very friendy and accommodating. Yes, located in a strip mall, however, the minute you walk through the doors, you are immersed in the Thai culture with a very nice ambience. The chicken satay is fork tender with a mild peanut sauce. What I find absolutely delicious is their shrimp chips served complimentary with a dipping sauce that tweaks the taste buds. I wanted to just take the sauce home! Very reasonable prices for a avery good meal.

Located in a strip mall, Lemon Grass Thai manages to create an ambiance that makes you forget that there is a huge parking lot outside the door. The restaurant is small and the seating is a little tight but the food makes that worth it.

Have been here for dinner during the week and it hasn't been extremely crowded. However, this time we went for lunch and the restaurant was packed. Easy to see why - lunch packages at a very reasonable price ($9). Entrees come with a small bowl of soup, Thai egg rolls and rice. I had the Red Curry with chicken and it was perfect. It seems like a lot of Thai restaurants don't make their curry very hot - at Lemon Grass Thai it was perfect, very spicy. The entire lunch was excellent, as was the service, and they were very busy.

Tasteful decor and friendly and efficient staff. Ordered Pad Thai last night to go. Have eaten this dish many times in other Thai restaurants and sadly this was one of the worst I have eaten! It was tasteless, almost no crushed peanuts on top, 3 pieces of green onion and noodles were gluggy although plentiful.. Asked twice when ordering for a side of dry chili did not receive any. Also ordered sticky rice and mango which was average in taste. My experience was disappointing as I have just moved to the area and was hoping to visit this restaurant on a regular basis.
