I attended a meeting dinner and selected the fried prawns from a choice of that chicken or Prime Rib.
The prawns were very good but seeing the Prime Rib, I wish I had ordered it.

This old Stagecoach Stop continues to offer great prime rib and a varied menu. Not gourmet food by any means but there is something on the menu from everyone. My favorite is a rare hamburger will all the fixings. If you like a shrimp salad this is the place to have it. Half a shrimp salad is enough for most people. A good place to meet or bring friends.

Our Corvette club made a run through the beautiful hills of Marin and Sonoma County and stopped at the Washoe House for lunch. It is not a fancy place, being one of the oldest roadhouses in the state. But, the bartender made some delicious bloody marys from scratch and the food was super. I had a patty melt, which was a special that day. It had plenty of carmelized onions and they used great meat. Some of our friends had the "Half Louie" a shrimp louies salad with a lot of shrimp. This was served with sourdough bread. The rest of the group had hamburgers and everyone was pleased.

Did you want a bison burger? This and a few other delectables you won't get anywhere else... Fun to see.

This is a historic restaurant - one of the oldest roadhouses in Sonoma, if not in all of California. Their burgers (beef or buffalo) are good. I'm going back to try their buffalo steak. This place is frequented by locals who are friendly to visitors who happen to wander in. The service is friendly and good. The bar and restaurant is full of character. The ceiling is full of dollar bills pinned by customers, and some look as old as the restaurant and building. This is definitely worth a try.
