“Lots of hiking trails and good views”
Reviewed July 19, 2012

This is a great park for hiking. There are many intersecting trails and you can take trails that have broad paths and are easy to walk on or small paths that lead you through trees and up and down the hills. You also have great views of the Petaluma valley. There are bathrooms and picnic table and even a small playground for kids. There is also a pond for fishing.

Great park for hikers, bikers, dog walkers, runners, artists, horse riders...Beautiful valleys with old oak trees nestling. Trails that connect and paved trails. Hills and valleys everywhere. Benches located in "surprise" spots. Great place to take your dog for a long hike.

“Wildflower Hike”
Reviewed April 11, 2012

Took a wildflower hike this past weekend, led by a master gardener. This is my first time to this park and will be a regular hiking spot for me now. The first hill was pretty hard for me but took frequent stops to turn around and enjoy the beautiful view of cattle roaming the green hills. Once at the top, the path evened out and we walked through several different types of landscape, from rolling hills, to overgrown dark fern grottos. There were plenty of places to stop and sit and enjoy the serenity and beauty. There were off -road paths as well as paved walkways. It is dog friendly, horse friendly and bike friendly and we saw plenty of each. When we finished our walk, there was a lovely picnic area with a children's playground. We had a beautiful spread of food and wine. There is also a nice restroom facility. This is a county park and it is $6.00 to park in the lot, but I noticed some people parked on the street a little way from the entrance. Why not give the County the $6.00 though, to help keep our beautiful parks open?
