“wonderful weekend getaway for bay area travelers”
Reviewed November 18, 2011

Pescadero Creek Inn is a find. Tucked away near an organic goat cheese farm in the hills just outside of Pescadero, it combines easy access to the historic town of Pescadero, beaches, hiking trails, and bicycle rides. It has room for four couples, each bedroom expertly decorated and cozy warm. The owners of the Inn are hospitable to a fault, the included breakfast delicious, and the living area complete with a wood burning fireplace a delightful place to spend a cool evening. The folks who stay here seem interested in the same thing: easy access to outdoor activities. It was a truly delightful weekend, complete with great conversations and good food both at the Inn and just down the street in Pescadero. We will be back!

Room Tip: we stayed in the northeast corner room, which had a big clawfood bathtub in the room, which actually...

We stayed here for one night on our way to the Pacific Coast Highway and it was a real highlight of our two week holiday. The inn is full of character and has a warm atmosphere which is very relaxing, Ken is a marvellous host, the breakfast is one of the best we've had. Pescadero itself is tiny, Duartes is a great place for dinner and five minutes' walk away. The countryside is great for walks. Do book onto a tour of the goat farm just down the road.

The cottage was GREAT!!! The breakfast was incredible! I think our exit could have been a bit friendlier.

We really loved the little fishing village of Pescadero, it was quiet enough to be cozy but kept us entertained for the 3 days we spent there. One of the best parts was staying at the Pescadero Creek Inn. It was a comfortably furnished and relaxing place to come home to each evening. The wine & cheese was also wonderful. I have to say though, the icing on the cake was the wonderful breakfast that Ken prepared each morning. It was superb! We will definitely be going back for another visit to this place. We went for the Harley Goat Farms dinner and will gladly go again just for the Inn.

Friendly hosts, at edge of a sleeply little town, wonderful gardens, historic building with lots of character, delicious breakfast, tastefully furnished, cozy fireplace in living/dining room, hits all the right notes. Can't think of a single thing they could possibly do better.

Room Tip: Plan in advance and book early!

Every summer, the women counsins in my family come here to catch up on each others' lives and enjoy the wonderful surroundings and hospitality of Pescadero Creek Inn. From the moment we arrive, Ken is there to greet us with his warm smile and memories of our previous years' adventures. He knows us well! The location of the inn is ideal for simply relaxing or taking walks in the picturesque surroundings. Ahh, and then there's the walk into town (5 minutes or less) to visit a few local shops and save ourselves for dinner at Duarte's.
If you're looking for a place to escape and be together, this is it!

We stayed for one night at the Pescadero Creek Inn. It is conveniently but quietly situated only a few minutes off Highway 1. We stayed in the self-contained Garden Cottage - very homely and old fashioned in the best way.
Breakfast - where you all sit together - was delicious and unusual. We really enjoyed meeting the handful of other guests and Ken was a welcoming host. We would happily have stayed another night or two and explored the attractive countryside nearby - hard to believe you are only a shortish drive from San Francisco.
Not cheap but good value. We would go again.
