Over the top luxury and a perfect location. Go for an ocean view room and you will not regret the extra cost. Service is friendly and very professional throughout the resort. A cocktail on the outdoor patio with fire pits, watching the sun go down with bagpipers piping lets you forget the bad shots you hit playing golf.

Room Tip: Ocean view rooms are spectacular.

Thoroughly enjoyed my 3 day stay at the resort. Although very expensive it was probably worth every cent. The golf facilities are outstanding - I think there are 8 golf courses within easy reach of the Inn with one on the door step. The pool was excellent. The staff were top class and ever attentive and pleasant. The rooms are big and the beds very comfortable. The food in the restaurants is great. I have nothing negative to stay other than the cost

We were forced to stay here to get a round of golf at Pebble Beach. Room was very dark. Poor lighting and brown furnishings made it worse. Typical vast impersonal corporate hotel out to fleece the guest at every turn. $25 /day tip added to bill whether services used or not. Roys restaurant food was good but very pricey as you'd expect. The dining room was very, very noisy due to no soft furnishings to absorb sound. Lots of private events going on so lounge and lobby noisy and congested.

What is it with cushions on the bed? Why would we want 8 dirty cushions on the bed that just get thrown on floor at turndown?

Room Tip: Avoid car park view rooms as very dark. Having paid so much a bit extra for an ocean view may have been worth it!

First stop on a Monterrey to Santa Barbara week long trip for my wife and I. Spend two nights. This is a Pebble Beach golf course hotel with the course between the hotel and ocean so you can't really walk along the ocean by the hotel. There is a walkable beach area a short drive away. The first thing I noticed was that the room felt "stuffy" and that there was no A/C (trip was in September 2013). The person who took us to our room stated that because of the weather year round no A/C was needed and just to open the windows. As a non golfer the resort was pricey (about $900 / night) especially since we spent little time at the resort (not much to do there if you don't golf). The ocean view room was nicely furnished and clean / newer feel to it. The weather here can be foggy / cool damp while a short drive away it could be sunny and warmer.
