Remember those old movies where the waitress had a snappy come-back to all the locals? And you got what you ordered quickly and the food was good? Vic's has been in Paso for over 50 years. The food, while updated, still has many of the old favorites that locals adored, along with a few updated salads and entrees. Parking was a challenge, due to the holiday shoppers frequenting many of the shops nearby. We had salads, omelettes and beef ribs. Everyone thought that their meal was great! The waitress had an intense attitude, telling us to "shut up", she could not get to us right away, and so on. If this place had been packed, I wonder if she would have had a heart attack or stroke? We did leave quite a good tip, in the spirit of the holidays, and yet she did not seem at all appreciative, leaving me to wonder whether the spirit of the holidays, in her case, should have been Scrooge.

Vic's had that small, hometown feel and one could tell there are many regulars who enjoy the food and atmosphere. Great and expansive breakfast menu. Service was cheerful and attentive. The four of us liked our dishes and would go back again.

A great little breakfast spot in the middle of downtown. Hit the spot! Friendly servers and good coffee.

We found this place for breakfast 6:00 AM our first morning in Paso. Do not be fooled by the old style...enjoy the swivel stools and the house made breads such as strawberry walnut. Susan gave us tips for wineries to visit as well. We enjoyed the banter with the local ranchers. Fine local wine list. We planned for dinner on Sunday but they were closed. We will have to go back!

Old fashioned good food but nicely done - not heavy or greasy. They have the best bacon ever. But they also have really nice salads. The staff has been there forever and they will take good care of you.
