“Berry Hill Bistro: inventive American bistro and comfort fare”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

Berry Hill Bistro is a great casual eatery that offers a variety of tantalizing selections. The fresh cut French fries with dipping sauces and hand-dipped onion rings are delicious starters or accompaniments for a main dish. They offer many salads and panini; my favorite is the spinach salad with goat cheese and warm pancetta with poppy seed dressing. I order it with the grilled shrimp, which are among some of the best I have ever eaten. They have a list of daily specials on the chalkboard by the entryway, as well as a nightly rotating special. I love Tuesday’s dinner special which is steamed clams served with garlic bread. Portion sizes are generous. The entrees seem pricey given the restaurant’s casual atmosphere, but the appetizers, salads and panini are reasonably priced. They are one of the few downtown Paso Robles’ restaurants that have a full bar. Berry Hill Bistro is family-friendly and dog-friendly on the small outdoor patio. They accept reservations for the patio seating. If busy, it can be very noisy inside the restaurant.

“Lunch Time!”
Reviewed August 1, 2013

On a blazing hot day we found a great little place for lunch. My wife & I shared a chipotle chicken and a side salad. Both were good and enough to share. Kelly, our server was great.

“Great food”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

The only reason we might not give this 5 stars was the service. They were slow after ordering. But since the food turned out so well, we couldn't mark them down! A friend ordered a tempura shrimp which I though would be mediocre in a "bistro" environment, but it was very good. My husbands "small plate" of pasta w chicken and artichoke hearts was a substantial meal. Prices for downtown Paso were pretty reasonable. Our server was very nice.

“berry hill bistro for lunch”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

had lunch with friends at berry hill bistro, across from the park in downtown paso robles. they have a nice menu with fresh salads and unique sandwiches and panini's. grilled salmon with bacon was a favorite, as was turkey, chilis, melted swiss cheese, to toasted sourdough.
reasonably priced at $9-13. lots of choices around here, but I wound not hesitate going back again. Oh, did I mention the 2 chocolate shops almost next door?

“Safe spot for lunch”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

Food was fine, and service was ok. We sat outside, which was nice. The outside patio has beautiful floral hanging baskets, and colored lights.
