“In-room Spas”
Reviewed January 3, 2014

We've made Paso Robles Inn a required stopover whenever we drive to Southern California and always get a Spa Room. This becomes our transition between the hectic pace of living in the Bay Area and the relaxation that we need when getting away. Each spa room has a theme of one of the local wineries, who provide winery information, room decor and a free tasting in the hotel bar. (The exception for beer aficionados is the room sponsored by Firestone Walker Brewery). The mineral springs are at the right temperature for soaking an extended time. The location is almost directly across the street from the city plaza, a grassy park surrounded by shops, restaurants, wine tasting venues, the city library and a movie theater. All-in-all PAso Robles is a great place for a short layover, or for an extended wine tasting trip.

Thank you for your kind comments on your recent stay with us. I myself enjoy the comparatively relaxed pace that Paso Robles has to offer its inhabitants and its guests, but we also have a wide range of attractions and activities to offer visitors to our area. In addition to being located in the center of one of California’s premier wine countries, we also have the activities you mentioned above and a slew of festivals during our warmer months. Our mineral spa rooms are absolutely fabulous, and we are so pleased with the positive responses we are receiving from both guests and the wineries themselves. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us, and we look forward to your next visit.

My family and I stayed here for 2 nights while wine tasting in the area. My sister and my mom had jacuzzi rooms and their rooms were very nice. Since they had the jacuzzi rooms, I opted for a non-jacuzzi room, figuring we could use their jacuzzis. The price difference was $13 but the room I got was less than half the size and far away. The jacuzzi rooms had fireplaces, big TVs, a little foyer area, and of course the balcony and jacuzzi. Our room had 2 beds and a TV and the thermostat was very difficult to control. And the whole place smelled like sulfur (rotten eggs) due to the minerals used in the jacuzzis.

We had selected (and paid for) a plate of cookies to be in our room when we arrived, but they weren't there. I had to go to the front desk and ask for them, which made it not a surprise for the kids.

The location is very good. The hotel is right next to the town square with lots of restaurants and wine tasting rooms, and even a movie theater, nearby. It was convenient for going wine tasting.

The kids enjoyed the heated pool (even in December) and the jacuzzi in my sister's room.

The restaurant was good for breakfast and only OK for dinner. The hostess was wearing her pajamas when we arrived for dinner, around 6pm, which we thought was odd.

Room Tip: As for a jacuzzi room, even if you don't plan on using it. They are bigger and nicer. The ones...

Thank you for commenting on your recent stay with us. Our deluxe mineral spa rooms are definitely larger rooms and they feature a coffee bar, fireplace, and the mineral spa on a private porch or balcony. We have also recently begun a branding project where each of these rooms were inspired and decorated by one of our local wineries, which allows us to offer our guests a very unique experience. Our traditional rooms are set up to be smaller than our deluxe spa rooms and our options include a room with a single king bed, two full sized beds, or a single queen bed with an in room fireplace. I am very sorry that the surprise you had set up for your children was not waiting for you upon arrival. We do our best to make sure that any amenities a guest has ordered is placed in the room before check-in. I do believe that we were able to accommodate an early check-in for your party which is why your amenity was tardy, but I hope that your children were still able to enjoy their thoughtful treat! We appreciate your feedback and your comments on all of the aspects of your stay, and we hope to see you again soon.

We stayed at Paso Robles Inn for one night at the end of our trip to Northern California. Our garden room was cozy with a comfortable bed and fireplace. The bathroom looked new and immaculate with nice soaps and fluffy towels. It was great to be able to eat at the steak house on site after a long drive and then be able to go to our room. We purchased the bed and breakfast package and had breakfast at the steak house the next morning. The waitresses were very good, especially at dinner. I would recommend the Paso Robles Inn and would stay there again.

Thank you for your feedback on your recent stay with us. Our rise and shine package which provides our guest with an inclusive breakfast for two at our steakhouse is definitely our most popular package, and our Steakhouse offers both our guests and the public scrumptious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our housekeeping staff works tirelessly to provide our guests with rooms that are clean and comfortable so that everyone staying with us can truly relax and enjoy their visit. Thank you for all of your kind comments, and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

We pulled in here on a whim and extended our stay one more night after that. The room was comfortable and had a fireplace (no directions on how to use it but turns out it was as simple as just turning up the thermostat). They might work on the ant issue near the hot tub as I was bit a couple times but that wasn't a huge deal for me. The front desk staff was very helpful and we only had one small issue when we extended our stay the original keys didn't work and weren't reissued new keys until after we were locked out of our room. The bar staff upstairs on Christmas night was very accommodating even though we ordered drinks after their closing time (much appreciated as we didn't know and had just arrived after a long journey!). Next time I'd spend $50 more/night to stay in the rooms with the mineral spring-fed tubs with balconies. Overall a very good experience. Nice grounds, koi ponds, etc.

Thank you for commenting on your recent stay with us! I am so happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and that a whim turned into a relaxing vacation. I am sorry to hear that your keys were not reset when you extended your stay, but I am glad to hear that we were able to quickly rectify that problem for you. Our staff at the front desk, our Cattlemen’s Lounge, and our Steakhouse take great pride in offering our guests superb customer service and I am very glad to hear that our lounge was able to accommodate you past their normal closing time. Our traditional rooms have all recently been remodeled, boasting new furniture and bathroom furnishings, and offer our guests a clean and comfortable room for their stay. Our deluxe spa rooms offer our guests either large bathrooms with indoor spas or large patios and balconies with private outdoor mineral spas. I am so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your entire stay with us, and we look forward to having you stay with us in one of our mineral spa rooms sometime soon!

My daughter and I enjoyed staying at the hotel after a recent day of wine tasting. The hotel is clean and has a nice hot tub. It would have been nice to have 2 packets of coffee for the morning, but otherwise all seemed to be in order.

We stayed in a spa room that had been newly renivated. It was very nice but already looked somewhat old. Remodel looked a little unprofessional in areas and the patio with spa was not very clean. The rug was wet and curled up on one end. When we lifted it to turn around so we wouldn't trip on curled end it was quite dirty underneath and there was a cigerette butt. There is no smoking in or outside on patio of these rooms. Over all the experience was great. Overall staff was not very friendly. The grounds and chef gardens were appreciated. We loved the walking distance to downtown area. Could use more attention to detail.

Thank you for your feedback on your recent stay with us. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay in one of our deluxe mineral spa rooms! These rooms have been newly renovated, but because we are a historic property we have done our best to merge the charm and character that is unique to historic properties with the modern conveniences that you would find at any newer hotel. To make these rooms even more unique we recently invited many of our local wineries to come and decorate one of the deluxe mineral spa rooms, which has made each room a different experience for our guests to enjoy. I am very upset to hear about the uncleanly state of your patio. We do not allow smoking anywhere on our property and do our best to remind guests of our policies to ensure that each of our guests has a pleasant stay. I have forwarded your comment to our housekeeping manager to ensure that this does not happen again. I am glad to hear that our location was perfect for your walk to our downtown area and that you enjoyed our gardens. Thank you for your feedback, we look forward to your future stay with us!

A friend of mine had a wedding in the inn. Not your ideal vinard wedding for the location of Paso Robles but very beautiful. We stayed in a room on top of the banquet hall with other guests, very convenient after the party to walk upstairs!

Thank you for commenting on your recent stay with us. I am so glad to hear that your friend enjoyed her wedding here with us! We are a great location for weddings and other events because of our large garden areas and the multiple event space options we have located throughout our property. Our grand ballroom is our historic building and has been completely restored to its gorgeous original look. Whenever we have large events in this room we highly recommended that guests book the deluxe mineral spa rooms we have located on the second floor for the convenience of having guest rooms located close to the event space and so that the wedding party can all have rooms in the same location. Thank you for commenting on your experience with us, and we hope to see you again next summer!
