This was a really great, centrally located motor lodge. The lodge doesn't have a breakfast, but they do give you a $5 off coupon for the attached restaurant, which is super good and serves really large portions.

We just stayed at the Best Western Plus Black Oak in Paso Robles the past two nights and were very pleased. The price was absolutely reasonable. The room was clean and quiet. I recommend a room upstairs if possible. The hotel is situated not too far from the center of town. Breakfast is not included, but the hotel gives you a coupon good for $5.00 off for each guest at the restaurant on the property. Food at the restaurant is very good - try the pancakes! If you are visiting for wine tasting, ask at the front desk for 20% off coupons for some of the local wineries. Finally, I must say something about the flowers and garden on the property witih tulips, daffodils and other bulbs in full bloom. For the price, you cannot beat the Best Western.

Room tip: Select a room on the 2nd floor to avoid footstep and vehicle noise

A short distance from Hwy 101, nearly new looking (recent remodel?), ample parking spaces, rooms nicely decorated (and everything matched and worked) and pleasant staff made an altogether great stay. It's our new preferred stop in Paso Robles.

This Best Western has lovely grounds, great rooms and restaurant on site. Even better, there is an elevator which we loved as we were on the second floor. Bed was very comfortable and we even had a recliner in our room which we used to just put our feet up for a bit. Too cold to use the pool, but the pool area is well shaded and looked inviting.

After a long day of wine tasting, we booked the romantic suite w/ Jacuzzi. This Best Western had the only sauna in Paso Robles. So relaxing. The room was comfortable and the staff was great.
The attached diner was a throwback to the late 50's. I hadn't eaten lunch and order the full salad with chicken breast. Three times - the waitress tried to convince me to order a half salad, (a full salad was a buck more). I should have listened - it was the largest salad I had ever seen.
