My husband and I shared a breakfast panini outside on the patio. It was made with French ham, Emmantauler cheese, tomato and egg. It was the perfect start to the morning after wine tasting in Paso Robles. Definately share this one.

“We Always Stop Here for Lunch When in Paso Robles”
Reviewed July 2, 2009

I believe this restaurant is also open for dinner on the weekends, but we have only been here for lunch. Everything we have tried has been very good and they have some imaginative salads, sandwiches and delicious soups. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

“Good food... HORRIBLE service”
Reviewed March 27, 2009

The food was good but the service was absolutely horrible. We were seated and given our menus and water. After 20 minutes of waiting, I had to ask another waitress if we could place our order. She took it and said she'd tell our waitress. After we received out food no one ever came back to see if everything was okay or refill our drinks. I finally had to go and ask for a contrainer for my leftover food and for the bill. Too bad the service is so bad because we will never go back again. The restaurant was not very busy so I don't know what the waitress was doing.

I will say the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated.

“Could Have been Better”
Reviewed January 18, 2009

We stopped for lunch. Ambiance and service was very nice but we were disappointed in our meals. The Plate of Olives tapa selection had more pickled veges and peppers than olives. The few olives on the plate were very small "every day" little green and Kalamata olives. We expected a much higher quality and more interesting selection of olives in an upscale French restaurant called Panolivo. The "Lobster Sensation" salad was beautiful and delicious with one rather important exception. The tiny little pieces of lobster were lost in the salad, tasteless and dry as if taken from a can. The Crab Cake salad was also beautifully presented and delicious, again with one exception. The crab cakes, while good, were not authentic and had an artificial, or factory made appearance.

We're a bit picky but feel the main attractions (olives, lobster and crab cakes) should have been more prominent and of better quality in a restaurant of this caliber. If a higher price tag is necessary to get this, so be it.

We could not resist having a desert from the beautiful display of french pastries. The lemon tart was absolutely delicious and the coffee just right.

We should give the Panolivo another try.
