I have been traveling for the last 6 weeks and I have stayed in 2 Hilton's 2 Best Western's and 2 Marriott's. All have been excellent places to stay but the Courtyard in Paso Robles has been the best. I arrived without reservations, due to the nature of my travel, I was greeted and given accommodations by Nicole who was wonderful to deal with after a long day of travel and not getting a room at another hotel. Then I had to extend and Erica handled that so, I didn't have to leave and she was a pleasure to deal with. Lucia kept my room ready for inspection. Thanks to all for a great stay.

I usually search for a great deal but this time it was my husband's turn to make our travel arrangements. He usually picks a Courtyard and did so for our stop in Paso Robles last week. I had forgotten how ideal they are. We were greeted by a very warm and friendly staff member at the reception desk who was extra helpful in helping us select a restaurant for dinner. The room was sort of small but had everything we could possibly have wanted. No complaints at all in fact the bed was heavenly! The room was comfortable and the decor was beautiful. We went downstairs for a glass of wine and were immediately served by another friendly staff member. Excellent wine selection but we were in the middle of one of the best wine regions in CA! Several guests checked in while we were sitting there and everyone was treated very well by the staff. The hotel is super close to the freeway. We didn't have any problems with noise but my husband did request a room facing away from the freeway. That might be a good suggestion! Breakfast was fairly typical for these places. I was a bit disappointed in the selection (or lack of?) fruit but we got there during a big rush. I think another waiter or helper would have been nice but again, it wasn't a big deal. Check out was smooth and we were on our way! The next time I do the planning, I think I will just find a Courtyard and book it! We have never been disappointed.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the parking lot or away from the freeway to avoid noise.

We love the word "outstanding." Thank you for your comments. Our hotel is a perfect landing hub and destination for all points of interest in Paso Robles. We highly recommend cycling in Paso, with its lush views and hundreds of local wineries, it is very common seeing travelers with their bikes attached to the hip. We hope the next you come; you make sure not to forget your bike. Safe travels!

We recently stayed for two nights during a trip to enjoy the wine tasting in Paso Robles. The staff were attentive and helpful, the rooms were clean with comfortable beds, and the breakfast was tasty with a made to order omlette /egg station.

This is the perfect location for wine tasting -- right in the middle of easy access to either side of the 46. The staff is great, very welcoming at the front desk with plenty of suggestions if you need them. Loved the Rocky Mountain chocolate grape bunch on the bed when we arrived - don't know if that's standard or for Zin weekend, but a nice touch. Rooms are pretty large; was initially worried about road noise since we faced the highway, but not a bit came through the windows. ONLY qualification is the bed....a hard, old-style mattress that made for a not so comfortable sleep. The lounge/bar area is nice, with service until late; nothing special going on when we where there, but of course, we were out tasting most of the time. If you can, and unless you plan on going out for something extra special, get breakfast with the room - we did not, but do understand there's a package that includes it. It's $9.95 each for the full buffet - love the to-order omelet station; otherwise, it's pretty standard - scrambled eggs, a meat, potatoes, all the bread stuff, waffles, yogurt. We'll probably stay here again next time, but hope a mattress change is coming soon.

Room Tip: No issues with road noise. See if you can get a breakfast-included package.
