Stayed here with friends recently and was pleasantly surprised by the high standard.
Beds very comfortable with crips white sheets. Bathroom has complimentary toiletries and plenty of towels, though no extractor so steamed up quite a bit especially as one person after the other had a shower. The air conditioning was quite loud and woke me when it clicked on and off, though the others slept through it. The hotel looked new and was about 10 blocks away from a very nice town centre. It wasnt far to walk which we did for dinner - always good to work up an appetite. Breakfast wasnt included (why not?) so no idea if it was any good. There was a fridge in the room and ice down the corridor. The swiming pool was hogged by 6 children so far too crowded to use it, but the gym was quite good with new equipment which we used. The staff were very friendly and gave advice on places to eat and visit. Good location as its central to many places to visit and we would certainly come here again.

Stayed at the Courtyard Marriott Paso Robles at the end of June 2011. I was there for 5 nights, on business, and with a large group.

Checking in was a breeze and front desk employees were professional. This is a newer hotel and the grounds were clean with plenty of parking.

I had a room with one King Bed. Room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was large with plenty of towels. After checking out a coworkers room, I can say that the rooms with 2 queen beds are much bigger, for the same price. So if you like space, get the double queen. But, my room was perfect for me since I was alone.

Pool was nice and comfortable for a quick swim every night. The fitness room has a couple of nice treadmills, which were nice for a jog since it was too hot to run outside.

The only 2 things preventing me from giving a perfect rating are: The in-room AC/Heater is very loud. Because of the heat I had it running at 72 for my entire stay. I am a heavy sleeper so it didn't really bother me, but others in my group did have problems sleeping. The second thing is that the lounge and restaurant shut down by 9pm or earlier if there is a lack of customers. So if you want a late drink or dinner, look elsewhere.

Overall, I do think that the Courtyard is the best place to stay in Paso and I will repeat.

Room Tip: Double queen rooms are much bigger for the same $

We reserved a suite which was nice and large. The hotel is a bit out of the way, at least 10 blocks from the main area within Paso Robles. The service is nice as is the wine bar off the lobby; a nice touch.

The hotel is brand new or at least it looks like one. The front desk manager was very welcoming and helpful when we checked in. The most notable thing about hotel was the gorgeous town; great shops, terrific restaurants and the general atmosphere which is relaxing with a European feel.

We arrived to the town of Paso Robles by Coast Starlight. With no further transportation, and no hotel shuttle service, we were still able to use the low-cost City shuttle. With bags in tow, we were dropped off a fairly long block from the hotel entrance. The room was typical Courtyard with not quite the stellar bedding. The food service was Courtyard as well but the Chef was friendly. Most people crowded the breakfast buffet with not much interest in the after 5 service. luckily the Town Square was a gem with many local restaurants and one movie house. Upon departure the bus service was not working due to a holiday. There was only one Taxi service and it was difficult to hire. The absolute best part of our trip was discovering that the best wine tasting rooms were the free one's at the train station.
