“Great Sandwiches”

Hunter Ranch Golf Course
Reviewed January 14, 2014

One of the nicest places to eat outdoors in Paso. Really good sandwiches on the menu. The Shrimp cocktail is awesome.

We have played Hunter quite a few times now, and always look forward to our next visit. The restaurant has a varied menu, and all dishes we have sampled have been first class.

I live in Boston, travel to the Central Coast often enough, and have always wanted to play Hunter Ranch. The course is challenging but not ridiculously difficult. Lots of blind shots, but by playing with others who had played here before, I managed OK. The course is in great condition, and the beauty of the central coast oaks, the undulation, and the dry creek beds throughout the course all make a round of golf here most enjoyable.

Come for the golf, but make time for the food. We arrived early enough for a full breakfast - I recommend the huevos rancheros. We did lunch as well, and enjoyed the special fish tacos that day. Also, worthy of comment is that the snacks offered for sale in the restaurant intended to take along for the round of golf are a much better array than one normally sees at a golf course.

Hunter Ranch is an excellent golf experience.

We golfed last week end and found the course very difficult, lots of trees, narrow fairways and blind shots. It is a beautiful course and well kept. The food at the restaurant was excellent, lots of food and enjoyed the view.
