Owner description: After residing in Paso Robles for a decade, Coy and Sarah Barnes turned their passion for wine, entertaining, and the rural countryside into a thriving little tour company called “The Wine Wrangler”. The Wine Wrangler was created on August 3, 2004 as Paso Robles’ first, authentic wine tour company. Within a year the couple wanted to create an opportunity for everyone to enjoy the Paso Robles wine tasting experience throughout the year, in the comfort of their own homes. They created the first and only wine club featuring Paso Robles wines and took their family business to whole new level. Coy, an educator and winemaker, grows his own zinfandel, cabernet sauvignon, and syrah on the family’s property in Paso Robles. When he’s not escorting visitors through the wine country, he’ll be rustling up wines from some of his favorite Paso Robles wineries and sharing them with the world through his Paso Robles Wine Club. Our greatest pleasure is to help people from out of the area to discover the diversity and finesse of Paso Robles wines. Coy & Sarah Barnes

“Wine Wrangler-They read our minds ; the experience was that good!”

Our two days of private touring with the Wine Wrangler were the best I have ever experienced, even when compared to our excellent experiences with Abercrombie and Kent while in France. Jim our guide and driver for two days actually did read our minds and took care of what would have been our only complaint without any of us saying anything. Our "gourmet lunches" the first day were horrible. Too entranced by everything else we forgot about them. The next day we were pleased when Jim took us to lunch at a golf club's restaurant along our day's route. My friend proclaimed her ahi tuna salad, the best she had ever had. He had sensed our disappointment and had worked with Coy, the company's owner, to correct it.
Our tour was their most private-limited to four or fewer people. We are a threesome who often travel together. With their contacts, we were given tours through vineyards and wineries by owners and their most experienced employees, tasting wines not generally made available to the general public and learning about the grapes in the fields as they were developing to maturity for the 2010 harvest. Jim and Coy made sure that our experience was an experience of a lifetime.

“Flexible and fun!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 28, 2010

Highly professional, but not uptight. Had some technical problems while on the road and the transitions were seamless. Cory and Melinda were great. Excellent recommendations on wineries to visit. This was our second trip with WW and we're definitely using them every time we go.

“Wine Wrangler Tour....Outstanding from the first taste to the last.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 25, 2010

From the minute we booked our tour online we were treated with courtesy and the knowledge we expected.. Our Guide and driver Bruce was tops in his field and went out of his way to make sure that we had an unforgetable experience. The variety of wineries visited and the wines tasted were well picked. The lunch was fantastic as well. We will be back for another tour and can recommend this experience to all who love wine....

“Great Girl Time!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2010

We took the Wine Wrangler 1/2 day trip to celebrate a friend's 40th birthday and it didn't dissapoint. Our driver, Heather was awesome! She was so friendly and personable that she totally added to our great experience. Her professionalism was top notch and advice on which wineries to try was right on. I would definitely recommend the Wine Wrangler for your next wine tasting trip in Paso. And if you go on the weekend, ask for Heather!

“Was a blast!!”

We had the best time ever on this wine tour!!! John was our guide and he knew everything about the region and wineries. It is so nice being driven around because finding the places can be difficult. It is worth every penny and we loved every minute of it. Also, the owners know the drivers and I think you get special attention because of it. You even get discounts at some of the vineyards because you are on the wine wranglers.
