“TEN STAR STAY!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 15, 2013

Honestly, I don't know where to begin. I guess it makes sense to begin by saying that this is my first time writing a review. EVER. But I just need an outlet to express my absolute astonishment at the incredible stay my boyfriend and I just enjoyed in Diane and Jim's heaven of a villa. I didn't know places like this existed. From the 6-star quality rooms and common space to DIane's delicious, cooked-to-order morning meals and impeccably selected happy hour wines and cheeses, this "villa" (bed and breakfast is a major and unfortunate understatement) puts every Ritz and St. Regis I've visited to shame. The level of rejuvenation and relaxation we both felt this morning after just 2.5 days spent in the hospitable cacoon of luxury and comfort created by this lovely couple is just remarkable. Simply can't put this sort of experience into words. Absolutely CANNOT WAIT to return. This is definitely going to become a regular trip for us. Thank you so much Diane & Jim for raising out standards beyond anything we could have ever imagined.

Room Tip: all rooms are equally superb

A delightful stay, the most comfortable and welcoming of our 16 night tour of California. Excellent advice regarding restaurants and vineyards, also help and maps for our next destination. Beautiful, peaceful location, we enjoyed watching the humming birds drinking from the fountain whilst eating a delicious breakfast.
Don't hesitate to book the Canyon Villa.

The place was absolutely beautiful with wonderful views. The food was fantastic gourmet. The Host and Hostess were delightful and helpful. I would definitely recommend it to my friends. Suggestions were made as to the best restaurants and wineries. The bed was extremely comfortable with high end linens.

Room Tip: All of them are good.

A truly magical place run by the most charming hostess Diane, ably assisted by her husband Jim. No detail has been overlooked in this elegant but intimate villa wonderfully located on a hilltop just outside Paso Robles. Without doubt, the nicest bed and breakfast we have stayed in anywhere. We'll be back.

Found this extremely comfortable bed and breakfast an ideal place to stay when visiting the vineyards around Paso Robles. Canyon Villa is beautifully designed, perched on a hilltop, with magnificent views from the bedrooms. The hosts Dianne and Jim were most welcoming and gave great advise on which vineyards to visit. We also enjoyed the excellent wines and cheeses served on the patio in the late afternoon.
Beside the outstanding surrounding the place exudes peace, quiet & tranquility. A great relief from the hustle and bustle of everyday life in the city.

We stayed here for 2 nights in mid August. It seriously is a great villa from where you can base your Paso trip. Here's what we loved:
1. Ultra comfortable bed. Seriously, insanely comfortable.
2. Delicious breakfasts and very good coffee--had croissant French toast first day, wife had a leek quiche the next day, I had blueberry pancakes.
3. Wine and cheese in the late afternoon, to wind down the day and relax pre-dinner. Oh, and the wine choices they offered were very knowledgeable and flexible based on our likes.
4. Very helpful hosts, Jim and Diane. Ridiculously nice and helpful with a few solid, very enjoyable winery recommendations (Daou, Tablas Creek, and Adelaida). They also recommended Denner, but we didn't have a reservation and ran out of time.
5. Views from the balcony of our room. Pretty cool wildlife hangs out there, so while there are no TVs there, unwind, sit on the balcony, and enjoy watching the wildlife!

Will we return? YES. I gained a much better appreciation of Paso wine and you would be hard pressed to find a nicer place to stay.

We have spent three months traveling in 2013, staying in some spectacular accommodations on Hawaii, New Zealand and Australia. This small B&B in California is one of the absolute highlights, and the very best place we have stayed in the US. The intimate feel, the lovely views of the neighboring vineyards, the wonderful breakfast served in the backyard and off course the fabulous wine from local cellar doors all made our stay at Canyon Villa complete. Diane and Jim made us feel so welcome, and gave expert advice on which cellar doors to visit. We are actually thinking about returning (from Norway – that’s quite a distance) for a second stay next summer, with our extended family. I almost didn`t want to review this place, just to keep it a secret. Well – the secret is out my fellow TA users, this is the place to stay in Paso Robles!
