We stayed here during a weekend trip to Paso to taste wine and visit family. This relatively new hotel is very nice. Everything is clean and more on par with what you'd find in SF or Chicago (at least the rooms). The staff was friendly, parking plentiful (and free unlike SF or Chicago), and they have a restaurant on site for dinner and the included breakfast in the morning. Probably the only downside is that the train tracks are a couple of hundred feet away. One train rumbled through town late that evening, but didn't do a My Cousin Vinny number by blowing their horn. If you sleep with two pillows, you'll never know it came by. This is a common problem with almost all of the hotels in Paso unless you stay at one of the more pricey B&B's outside of town. If really quiet piece is what you want, try the Wild Coyote - outstanding B&B and interesting winery). But if you prefer to be in town closer to the restaurants and night life, this is probably one of the best available according to locals.
Give it a try and use the AAA discount to make it a better deal. Cheers!More
