“Great Hotel”
Reviewed May 20, 2013

We spend 3 nights at the hotel. Very nice room. Quiet. The beds were comfortable but would have liked them to be lower. We are not tall and it is kind of difficult for us to get up there. But we made it. The hotel is new and I hope they will keep up with the cleanliness. We also liked that they are dog friendly. We had not our dog with us, but we saw another guest with a little shi tzu. Breakfeast included in the price of the room was very good too. Appreciated also the free WiFi. I definitely can recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for the Paso Wine Festival. Very nice people, Jovan was a tremendous help with a great attitude. Phillip was helping/supervising the morning breakfast and his enthusiasm to hospitality was refreshing. While this hotel is pretty new (I think 6 months old) we hope they keep up the excellent service and clean and fresh atmosphere. The beds were comfortable and fashioned with many blankets and sheets. Having Free WiFi is also nice. A must stay in Paso...

Thank you to the staff at the Oaks Hotel! You made our stay so enjoyable and wished I could've spent more time inside our comfortable room. From the minute we pulled into the driveway until the day we left, Mary and her staff made sure every request was fulfilled. The hotel is new and our rooms were extremely clean. Our beds and pillows were so comfortable, I almost wanted to take the pillows back home with me!! It was definitely nice having a small living room in our suite and allowing our maltese to travel with us.
As for the breakfast, I couldn't believe the selection of food that was offered. The eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles and potatoes were all yummy! Thank you again for the hospitality Mary...we'll definitely come back and stay at your hotel.

Room Tip: Pet friendly hotel.

This is an excellent (relatively new) hotel right off of Highway 101 in Paso Robles. The hotel is clean, the staff is WONDERFUL, they a very pet-friendly, and they have an electric vehicle charging outlet (with three more coming soon).

I can't say enough about the wonderful service from the staff, and also from the hotel's owner, Mary. They are so hospitable and accommodating.

The Oaks Hotel is very similar to other big name chain hotels that cater to business travelers. This one is very new and as such the hotel looks great and furnishings are modern and nice. The rooms are good sized (we stayed in a standard king room) and the bathroom is roomy.

The breakfast was the only thing we didn't care for and it didn't quite match the overall quality of the property and our stay. Again, the hotel is similar to a big name chain that is designed with business travelers and so the breakfast is also similar to those types of hotels. It is a 'hot' breakfast and the buffet offered pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs, toast, etc., but it just wasn't prepared well and didn't taste very good. We went out to a local place for breakfast on our second day in Paso because of this.

The location of the hotel is very good. It is right near the main highway through town and, if you are going to visit wineries of the area, is central to those as well.

If you need a good clean place to stay, this is probably one of the best options in Paso Robles for the price, location, and amenities.

This hotel is pretty new, and they are working very hard to give their guest a great hotel experience in Paso. The rooms are large, clean, and very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and attentive. THEY ALLOW DOGS! YAY! Breakfast is included and the selection is everything from eggs and bacon to waffles and cold cereal. My only criticism is the fresh fruit selection was meager. Apple, oranges and bananas but no strawberries during the time when strawberries were in season....The little workout room offers a stationary bike, elliptical and treadmill, one weight machine, a couple yoga mats and a tv (all in good working order) and there is a small pool and a hot tub. The location is at the end of town with an auto shop across the street, a casino behind, and roosters and goats on one side and a farm supply store on the other side. Funny, that! But the hotel is a world unto itself. And they make fresh cookies and have free bar snacks! Then there are all the wineries you can visit around Paso, but that's another story. One word of advise: Opolo.

Room Tip: I generally find that rooms with double queen beds are spacious. Ours had 2 queens PLUS a small couc...

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and the breakfast. You are right, strawberries are in season now. We will have strawberries this weekend and possibly some melons. We hope you will have the opportunity to enjoy some if you are staying.
