“Different and Fun”
Reviewed May 12, 2013

We went to Estrella with 2 of the locals who recommended it for my Birthday dinner. Everyone was happy. The appetizer was a melted cheeeese like fondue...yummy!The Spicy Chicken dish was fantastic and so was my Curry Seafood Dish which was lightly seasoned..The food was only surpassed by the attentiveness of our darling waitress Dawn. You should ask for her as she is a charmer!
We will revisit this place again for sure.

“Great food; great service”
Reviewed May 11, 2013

We had a terrific birthday dinner at this nicely decorated, very comfortable restaurant, with a very interesting and unusual menu. We had mostly the tapas which were very well prepared and generous portions. The main dish--the halibut--was as good as we have had anywhere. Our server, Dawn, was attentive and gave us good, honest recommendations for our food and wine choices. She is very knowledgeable and obviously quite proud of the restaurant. We had eaten before at Roberts, the other restaurant owned by the same people and this is even better.

“Nice location on the square”
Reviewed April 30, 2013

We stopped in for a few small plates as an early dinner. Good choice of local wines both red and white. Scallop ceviche was good, the mussels were better and the Carnitas Salad wast superb.

“Highlight of our day in Paso Robles”
Reviewed April 27, 2013

Such a welcoming staff. We came on the food tour. We enjoyed every bite and can't wait to come back. The sangria was so good. Loved the empanadas and taquitos (not sure that's what it was called) with guacamole that was as good as it gets.

“Great ambience but too expensive.”
Reviewed April 25, 2013

It was expensive for the quality of the dinner. We had been there twice before and we were looking forward to the dinner. We were disappointed with the quality. There were 6 of us and we all felt the same way.
