“Great Picnic Food”
Reviewed May 30, 2014 via mobile

This is a great place to go to get bread, meats and cheese for a picnic at on of the wineries. We picked up lunch in the morning and went back for some more sandwiches to have at the b&b for dinner. Highly recommend this place. The owner was very nice.

“Great Cheese Selection - Local and Foreign”
Reviewed February 24, 2014

They have a good selection of cheeses and other high end deli type choices. Try the salted baguette too. We were staying in an apartment at a winery and needed to load up on some snacks and this place was perfect (best truffled cheese we ever have found). They need to work out the prosciutto slicing, but the quality was there.

There are also some Italian grocery items, and frankly the super-market situation in PR is pretty weak.

Now if they could just get a bakery in Paso Robles!

“Finally! They were open!”

Great cheeses! And the prosciutto is amazing. Good cheeses and meats are not cheap but so worth it! A definite must visit as is Vivant.

“Great little shop to visit before vineyard visits!”
Reviewed November 26, 2013

Wide selection of quality cheese, salami, olives and other treats needed to have a nice lunch when visiting the wine vineyards nearby.

Was passing through town and saw a large yellow sign stating "Cheese shop" in their front window. Decided that was the place to pick up a light variety of snacks to have when we tried some new wines nearby. Limited but adequate fresh selections of olives, hard cured meats, and pate, and a great selection of wonderful cheeses, and fresh small baguettes. Service was quick, and the staff knowledgeable of the food for sale. They even provided utensils(plastic) for us to take with us which was appreciated as we did not have the foresight to pack our own knives, forks, and napkins when starting out.

“Best cheese tasting!”
Reviewed November 16, 2013

This small shop carries amazing cheeses and welcomes you to taste any and all of them. The very patient and friendly staff will cut sliver after sliver of exotic cheeses for you and explain the type of milk and technique used to make each one. They offer a wide range of cheese types, no problem finding too many that you will want to buy! They also have a small, but good stock of breads, crackers, condiments, etc. to make a picnic, but go for the cheese first. This is far and away the best cheese shop I've visited anywhere from the quality of the cheese selections to the friendly, knowledgeable staff. Each time I go, I buy far too much cheese and then have the fun of consuming it all.
