“Pastoral Daou”
Reviewed June 15, 2014

Daou Vineyards is beautiful; from its Spanish influenced architecture to the pastoral vineyards, the environment beacons your senses. Our wine tasting experience was perfect and the sommelier very knowledgeable. We purchased the Granache Blanc and the Reserved Zinfandel in celebration of our California vacation. I would recommend Daou Vinyards to anyone seeking an afternoon of sensual delight.

“Its all about the view”
Reviewed June 3, 2014

We decided against doing a tasting here and opted instead for a glass of wine and a chance to relax and enjoy the view. The views really are spectacular and the tasting room is very swanky. I can't comment on all their wine but the glass I had wasn't to my taste. Worth a stop and it would make an amazing wedding venue.

“Just a big rip off”
Reviewed April 22, 2014

The views may be beautiful, but so are lots of places in Paso. The $20 tasting fee with 1/2 oz pour stopper on tastings barely gives you a taste of their ok wine. The staff is rude, the service poor and you don't get to keep the glass. In fact they have a surly old lady monitoring the glasses. We paid $60 (3 tastings) for nothing more than a nice view. There are too many other good Paso wineries to waste time & money on just a nice view. We belong to wine clubs in Paso & Napa, so I do consider ourselves Daou target market. Definitely won't be coming back.

“A great wine and a spectaular view”
Reviewed April 13, 2014

The wine is very good. Located about 10 miles from paso has a view to die for. The wine pourers are frendly and busy. This place has it all! My frends from San Jose are now members and we can now meet six times a year since my wife and I are also members at another winery,

“Stellar Winery”
Reviewed March 31, 2014

This gorgeous tasting room sits on top of a hill with 360 degree view of Paso Robles. Most all the staff are wonderful. Katie explained the wine club perfectly, she said a tasting was $20 and if we joined it would apply to our purchase. Note: the website states $15. None-the-less, the wine club is a nice option as it allows you to select which wines you will receive in your shipment. We like this rather than the winery selecting which ones they will send. The tasting room is very large, property is beautiful, really really beautifully done. The very large outside patio offers a lot of space with comfortable sofa's, chairs, fireplace, tables and boasts the view from all angles. They have an onsite chef and a small menu or you can bring your own food, buy a bottle of wine - they provide Reidel stemware - and just enjoy the environment. This is our favorite winery. It is beyond beautiful and comfortable because the wines are absolutely fantastic! The chardonnay is delicious, the cabernet can take on any high end Napa cab, the AUX is another favorite red. The winemakers are really down to earth. They want their guests to enjoy the experience and the wine. KUDO's on everything. Oh, there was one staff member that yelled at us for serving ourself...that is a no-no which we did not realize...but she wasn't very friendly when she chastised us...she could have been a bit nicer to point out the policy...but hey, there is one "grump" in every house!
