Joe's Place appears to be one of the best places to eat breakfast in Paso Robles. Pancakes were fluffy, oatmeal excellent, and cinnamon roll out of this world. I would definitely eat here again.

Once per week, I get together with a bunch of retired friends and we go somewhere in San Luis Obispo County for breakfast. One or two of our favorite places are Joe's in Paso Robles, and Joe's Other Place (yes, that is the name of it) just south in Templeton. They serve typical American style food, and a few special items that Joe made up for his menu. The food is always good, the staff is friendly, and they always make you feel at home.

While in Paso for a weekend of wine tasting and family fun, we stopped here for a late lunch. Service was quick, the staff was friendly, and the food very tasty. The menu selection is very large featuring breakfast and lunch, American and Mexican. Supposedly the ranchero sauce is great, but we passed on this and settled for a couple of nice sandwiches.

We had a club (huge) and a tuna melt - pretty standard fare. However, everything tasted great and arrived pretty quickly. The fries were seasoned, making them tasty, but some were a little limp - probably a result of our late lunch time. It is located on the main drag and has lots of off street parking.

If you go, check out the bathrooms. The photos of old movie stars in less than formal attire was pretty entertaining for both of us. A great place for lunch. Cheers!
