There in June 2012, my group and I loved the feeling of being at a homestead/farm, not just in a spiffy tasting room. The pourer was one of the owners and gave us a great deal of background about the place and their history with winemaking there. She explained differences in the varietals as well. An area outside is ideal for a picnic if you've brought along today's lunch. Came home with two outstanding wines that I can't wait to serve to guests, one a 2007 Cab/Syrah blend. One downside: though the fee was refundable upon purchase, their $10/person tasting charge seemed steep. Most places we visited charged $5 or nothing.
