“Great view with a light lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2014

We had time to visit one of my favorite wine tasting wineries…the bar at Tobin James when we were recently in Paso. Great wines, an extensive list to try including reserve fines. They suggest the Cass Winery for a light lunch and would definitely recommend this choice. A great location and if you sample the wines over lunch the tasting is free. Our favorite wine was an unusual Roussanne White, excellent mineral level with a hint of Apricots. The wine tasting nicely accented the elements of the cheese and meat plate.

“Wonderful Wine- Go for Lunch!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2014

This is tucked away about 6 miles from town along a scenic equestrian road. Enjoy the horses and the deer on the way (go slow). The wine flight blew us away,,,,loved everything and the staff is very knowledgable and friendly. The setting is rustic and laid back and you can enjoy the gourmet lunch on the patio or under the oak trees at the edge of the vineyard. Don't miss their burger,,they raise their own beef and grow their own herbs. Loved the crab cakes too! Ended up becoming wine club members and I still remember that luscious Cabernet Sauvignon that was the grand finale on the flight.

“Pretty Area, and Good Wine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2014

Their flight was pretty good, but if you get them on a good day, they'll let you try their reserve, which was phenomenal. Very friendly staff, not too stuffy like some wineries. Very pretty there too.

“Just go to this gem!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2014

So we checked this place out after a referral from another winery in the area. We were looking for a place to eat lunch and taste some wine. Well, this is the spot for both! Cass is tucked away on a back country road and from first appearance looks like an old cattle ranch. They have a marvelous outdoor patio (overlooking the vineyard) and they will bring the tastings right to your table. There is a darling tasting room inside as well. The server was friendly and had good knowledge on the wine. We had the burger, which was highly recommended and did not disappoint! Many great options on the menu and hard to choose one. What a great lunch experience! Food and wine both delicious. Try the Zin, as it is one of the best (although a pricey bottle). This place is relaxing and scenic, right down to the two horses tied up out front, ready for a ride around the vineyard.
