I have been to other waterparks that are closer to major population centers and they were dirty, crowded and somehow felt a bit unsafe. Not the Ravine Waterpark! Now mind you, it is not a huge waterpark like the ones near cities, but it still has a nice variety of attractions. And there really is something for everyone-from toddlers to teens to moms and dads. I would say this is a medium sized waterpark. Also I felt safe here as it was mostly families or fairly well-behaved teens. At first I was a bit miffed because weekends cost $3.00 more and they include Friday. However, we went on a Friday and that turned out to be very uncrowded. Why I think that is so is because the people wanting the cheaper price during the week went Mon-Thurs and the people that can only go on weekends went Sat & Sun, so on a Friday in August we never had more than a few people in front of us on any attraction and there were lots of lawn chairs to choose from. So $23.00 was not bad for all day. And parking is FREE! Another great thing were the money wristbands. They sell them in $5, $10 & $20 denominations. They have little tabs that the vendors tear off of your band as you go to purchase food, drinks or other items. That way you can wear your money and not have to bring any inside! Also, if you don't use up all of the wristband, they will refund your unused portion. I got each of the kids a wristband so they never had to hunt me down for money to buy food and it gave them total independence. It was great! Another great thing about this place was all the trees around there. Also the grassy area was really nice and there is an adjacent park (part of the property) with concrete walkways where you can push a stroller around or have your toddler ride a tricycle or whatever. You must check this waterpark out. Go to the web site as they have shorter hours and a shorter season than some other waterparks.
