I had dinner here with 6 friends and the food was very well liked by us all. The restaurant itself isn't very large but it had a nice out door area we enjoyed. We had scallops for our appetizer which were very tasty and tender, the ossobuco, wild boar pasta, lamb chops, squid ink pasta with lobster and a fish dish. I LOVED the wild boar pasta and the ossobuco was also very good, the only complaint was in regards to the portion size of the lamb chops (3 small chops) the person who ordered this walked away hungry, while all other dishes were rather large. We had the lava cake and tiramisu for dessert and it was ok, nothing special. The big winners here were the appetizer and main courses.

This was my husband and my anniversary weekend and this dinner topped off the day of wine tasting. The portions are not huge but everything tasted delicious and authentic especially the pastas. We had shared a pasta for starters and shared the lobster, both excellently prepared. I'd definitely recommend you go there. We didn't get any wine after a day of wineries, but there were many people there who were enjoying tastings. It was also a great location to walk around the town.

Honduran-born Chef Santos MacDonal and his welcoming wife, Carole, own what I believe is one of Paso’s best eateries, Il Cortile Ristorante, which specializes in rustic Italian food. I am a regular at this upscale, but comfortable restaurant. In their relatively short existence, they have become a local and tourist favorite. Dinner specialties include such creative appetizers as grilled octopus, crostini porchetta, pan-roasted quail with prisciutto-filled tortellini, and a bountiful selection of mozzarella cheeses. I am a fan of all of these appetizers. Santos’ homemade pastas and, when available, pork osso bucco, are house favorites. Some of the dishes include ingredients which may be foreign to some, but are delicious such as the pappardelle al cinghiale (wild boar), and beef cheeks tortelloni. Santos uses seasonal, local ingredients, as well as specialty items from Italy. Il Cortile offers both Italian and local wine that complement their cuisine. Staff are friendly, professional and knowledgeable; outdoor patio seating is available, with protection from the elements when inclement. Reservations are recommended as they tend to be booked. There is some limited seating at the bar for last minute diners.

After a day of wine tasting - this is the perfect ending. I recommend you rely on their staff for your wine as they are very knowledgably and will pair it for your meal. Food was authentic Italian with some rather rare items on the menu. Cozy atmosphere too. Pricey, but worth it.

Since Paso is so hard to get to, you deserve an awesome meal and the IC is it.

We were referred by a winery that this is the best meal and it was better than anything I've had all over the country.

Mozzarella tasting? Really? Totally bad [--]!!!

Oso Bucco two ways? Cmon man!

Just come here instead on anywhere else!
