“Safe, Scenic, and Serene!”
Reviewed May 1, 2014

Is Paso Robles your destination? Consider a stay at Seven Quails Winery and B&B! Your hosts, Dave and Karina, will start your day with a great cup of coffee or tea, followed by a fresh, delicious, and healthful three course breakfast. After a day spent attending festivals, walking on beautiful beaches, or visiting local wineries, return to Seven Quails for a quiet respite, private wine tasting and "nibbles", a serene and safe environment, and a million dollar view above the city of Paso Robles. Seven Quails B&B is so comfortable and peaceful, you'll want to stay to hear the birds call, walk the fragrant gardens, and enjoy easy conversation with fellow lodgers. But if you choose to go out on the town for dinner, a movie, or evening music event, you're only a short drive away from the town's square.

Our rooms were spotless and comfortable in a modern and stylish environment. All thought was given to a visitor's comfort, safety, and food preferences without "fussing", and basic toiletries were provided in our room as well as bottled water, a basket of snacks, a small and efficient room refrigerator, ironing board, and abundant storage for clothing and personal items. The B&B has large public areas where a visitor is welcome to relax, read, or explore the internet for information on the Paso Robles area, or catch up on e-mail. The Internet service was dependable and very fast!

Seven Quails is an excellent choice for lodging in an area that is often impacted with tourists from near and far. If you would rather lodge in a place where you will get a good night's sleep rather than be rudely awakened by late night doors slamming, and awake to fresh coffee and a healthful breakfast rather than greasy grill food; if you'd like to park your car where you don't have to worry about night-time break-ins, and start the morning by gazing at a serene sunrise sky rather than staring at a parking lot full of cars; if you enjoy meeting new and interesting people rather than staring at your "smart phone" at breakfast and at day's end, then these are all reasons for you to book a room at Seven Quails!

God gave us a gift of 86,400 seconds today, priceless gifts since these can never be recovered. You obviously have used a great many of those precious treasures to tell us how much you enjoyed your stay at Seven Quails. The very least we can do is say thank you, merci, danke, grazie, tack, ačiū and in more languages if we had the knowledge thereof!

In a word, this is an amazing B&B. We headed to Paso Robles to meet with our adult son and his wife and to enjoy a "couples weekend" touring the area. On a scale of 1-10, our experiences at Seven Quails would rate about an "11". The scenery is spectacular as you wander in from town ... with flora and fauna that is remarkable to take in. The facilities are first rate and we enjoyed watching the sun rise on the back porch ... and set on the front. Perhaps the best part of all, however, was the owners, Dave and Karina. They made us feel incredibly welcome ... provided impressive gourmet meals that we're still talking about ... and spent time visiting with us sharing both stories and wine. We felt like we were staying with friends who gave us tips on places to visit, wineries to see and sites to absorb. Our trip was over MUCH too quickly, so I guess we'll just have to go back again soon! Awesome is really an understatement.

Room Tip: They're all great ... nice feature for a family is a chance to share a bath between 2 bedrooms.

We are glad your family enjoyed Seven Quails. We truly enjoy the diversity of the guests that pass thorough our front door everyone of which brings joy to this house leaving a part of themselves here. Our memories run deep and long and you have added yet another paragraph to them. Thank you.

Loved this spectacular B&B just outside the city of Paso Robles. The owners, Karina and Dave, were some of the most hospitable and fun loving folks who are quite interesting and incredible chefs - breakfasts were delicious even with our gluten free diets. We had afternoon social with nibbles and their wine (which we thought was very good) - great discussions about the local wineries and history of the area. They've thought of all the smallest of details at this B&B (i.e., snacks and wine glasses in the room, great bathroom amenities, etc. Beautiful rooms and bathrooms with incredible view of their vineyard overlooking the hills and beautiful artwork throughout the house. Best though was that we felt so welcome at their place by Dave & Karina. We HIGHLY recommend Dave and Karina's Seven Quails B&B.

Room Tip: We had the Room with a View and would highly recommend it. View overlooked the vineyards and hills...

Karina, she who tends the gluten free offerings, very much appreciates your comments. Dave does also working on the theory that a happy wife begets a happy husband.

Getting a bit more serious, the fact that you took the time to comment on the menu is significant to us. Feedback is important. It shows us if we are on track to meeting special dietary needs and expectations.

So thank you for taking the time to let us know how we’re doing. If you return we promise to have new gluten free offerings.

My wife and I visit the Seven Quails Vineyard Bed and Breakfast twice a year. It is an outstanding B&B. Dave and Karina are marvelous hosts. They are so hospitable and warm; they strive for perfection and achieve it in so many ways; their breakfasts, advice, social hours, etc. We have booked another visit for November and we can not wait to go back.

Room Tip: Both rooms are lovely; one has a view and is larger than the other

Seven Quails Vineyard and B&B is a gem, a hidden oasis in the wine region of Paso Robles....a perfect combination of beautiful setting, amazing vista views, most delightful hosts/innkeepers David and Karina, beautiful country rooms, and let us not forget those breakfasts each morning! We simply did not want to ever leave....it was the perfect home-away-from-home with such attention to each and every detail, yet such a casual and relaxed ambience. We came to visit all the wineries and restaurants, but we preferred staying around the inn, walking the property and enjoying the magnificent 360 degree view.
Kudos to the innkeepers for getting this lovely place so perfectly right. We cannot wait to come back!

3. Quite and serene perfect for relaxing and star gazing
4. Downtown Paso Robles is less than ten minutes away
5. Pacific coast highway is just a short and very scenic drive down highway 46

7. Wine and Nibbles (Don't miss it!)

Our review would not be complete if we failed to acknowledge our wonderful hosts, Dave & Karina. As soon as we arrived they made us feel like family not guests and they went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful experience. We highly recommend Seven Quails and will definitely return.

Room Tip: Both rooms are excellent

Ah yes, seven reasons for Seven Quails but one reason for you two. If we remember correctly, you two were our star gazers.

Your visit was too short. We know nothing about the skies and need your knowledge to give us some clues as what's what. So come back and bring your sky maps. We promise to take notes. And as an aside, thank you for your Seven Reasons. Much appreciated!
