I love the spa and complementary exercise classes, such as tai-chi, yoga, and Pilates The setting of the hotel is lovely a d the room are very comfortable and very relaxing. The hotel as a whole presents a very grand and beautiful environment. The staff is wonderful and very customer service oriented.

The hotel and the grounds are amazing. The rooms are spacious, the staff is friendly, everything you would like from a 5 star property. There is 1 pool outside, the gym is nice. Plenty of great restaurants in Old Pasadena which is just a 5 minute drive. The valet parking tends to get a little crowded, but otherwise, a great stay. Great view of the hills from our window.

Beautiful grande-dame hotel in leafy Pasadena, with immediate transportation to the LA of early 1900s, movie stars, American industrialists. The service -- from valet to reception to bar to restaurants -- was first-rate. Management has created a customer service culture that is seamless.

I had dinner in the terrace restaurant, facing the pool. I expected a pleasant average meal, but was delightfully surprised by the delicious and complex cuisine. It stopped me in my tracks, making me send texts and photos to my partner back home.

My only quibbles, small as they are, are these: The only choice for parking is valet, which costs $25 per night. (Valet service is very fast and cordial at least). The room was average, while large, and despite the nice linens, the bed as oddly uncomfortable, mostly because of dense pillows. I couldn't open the window which was a shame since the night was cool and fragrant. The AC needed to be set very cold to make the heavy duvet at all comfortable.

The price was moderate, the setting and service outstanding. This is a wonderful antedote to what is sometimes the harshness of LA.

The grounds are historic and lush and reminiscent of the Huntington Gardens, which happens to be my favorite place in LA to relax.

However, There were a couple snags for instance they were overbooked even though we made a reservation weeks in advance - they gave our club room to someone else. Then they put us in a room at the far end of the hotel and at the end of the hall by a dirty maid closet w loud machines. The room was also not that impressive and all they had was two full sized beds to offer us. It was a little cramped in one bed. There was also a big stain on the middle of the carpet and the water pressure in the bathroom was a little strong.

Apart from that the place was breathtaking! I appreciated Sean in the club room and all the little treats and amenities they offer: free bikes, beautiful stationary in the rooms, fresh flowers, perfectly manicured grounds, a state of the art gym, jazz music at the bar downstairs.

We will definitely make this a tradition and be back soon. Thank you, Langham Huntington.

Our family of four stayed here recently. We loved the club level. The food was amazing. The pool was amazing and the kids enjoyed that. The service was excellent from check in to room. The view out of our room was wonderful. It's a slice of heaven near LA. You really feel like your on vacation!

Room Tip: Club level is worth the cost. Amazing food and drinks in a beautiful setting.

To get to the Langham, you must drive though a picture perfect Pasadena neighborhood that sets the mood for your stay. Beautiful architecture, amazing gardens -- a kinder, gentler world that is a lovely beginning to your vacation.
We recently stayed 6 nights at the Langham, and were very pleased with everything about the property. I am not a big photographer, but I couldn't stop taking pictures. Beauty everywhere.
