We arrived at the Langham as we were attending a wedding in Pasadena during our stay.
It is a huge hotel with beautiful lush green surroundings, in fact it was difficult to find your bearings as it was so vast. Nice heated outdoor swimming pool and jacuzzi which we thoroughly enjoyed.
When booking this hotel I opted for a room with balcony (we are both smokers). Unfortunately we discovered we were housed in the main body of hotel which does not have balconies. I asked for us to be moved but none available although they offered to accommodate us on the 4th night of our stay which did not happen. Smoking areas were confined to outside main door or at the entrance to a wooden bridge overlooking pool and gardens.
The hotel is quite a distance from shops/restaurants but they have a courtesy car to accommodate guests. We decided to get a taxi to the shopping areas but did not realise that taxis are not plentiful on the streets and waited an hour and a half to pick one up.
Local people are most helpful if you happen to look lost and will go out of their way to assist you.
The cost of the hotel for 2 for 5 nights was very reasonable (around 1,000 euro).More
